Name: Avis (Old german name, meaning 'Refuge in war').

Breed: Himalayan Fancy Rat

Age:  eight months. a full-grown adult rat.

Mate/crush: None/none yet.

Personality: A closed-in sort. keeps to herself, for inner fear of emotional hurt or harm; possible reasons can be found in her history. Avis has a weakness for freshly cut watermelon, and oreos with the filling eaten out. She secret hopes, in the back of her mind, to be loved or accepted one day, but hides it underneath her emotional mask; as a teen she was the rebellious sort.

Background: Avis was born, in a series of experimental breeding combinations to get faster speeds, by Carface for his rat-racers; Avis was the sleekiest and only surviving of her litter, but she refused to train or run; Carface tried various tactics, convinced she was his diamond in the rough. Finally after much attempted strategies, carface lost his composure. he tried to eat Avis, sinking his teeth into her back;she escaped by biting his paw, and running into a wall, to the gambling and drinking population beyond.

after a week or so, Avis settled to life living in the casino, her home under a pool-table. She started sneaking out to watch the rat-racers, pitying them for lack of freedom. one day she hopes to meet them face to face.
