Carface returned in All Dogs go to Heaven 2 as the secondary antagonist he was working for Red doing his evil bidding to get him Gabriels Horn and after Red got it he used it to get suck the dogs including Annabelle out of heaven and in pound cages but after he was defeated and sent to hell Carface tried to convince Charlie David Sasha and Itchy that he was only pretending to be on Reds side and Charlie used sarcasim and asked him what he traded Red for his collar and Carface said that it was his shoes and taunted Red calling him a stupid cat becuase he lacked wearing shoes but Red replied with a comback and called him a stupid dog and revealed to everyone that Carface traded Red his soul for his collar and afterwards he dragged him into hell with him but in the series and the Christmas Special Carface somehow escaped hell how did that happen .

I guess this is like my answer for the question about killer, you could look at the Christmas carol and movies like they are completely separate from the first and second film.
