Edgar was Madames faithful and loyal butler who was always happy to assist her in anyway but after hearing about her talk of the fortune and donating it to her cats he became jealous and greedy determened to get his hands on the money he put sleeping pills in their milk and made off with them by abandoning them in the countryside despite being attacked by two dogs as he went home Madame did not known of his betrayal but the Horse Fro Fro and the Mouse Roquefort discovered that he was the catnapper he later went back to get his hat and umbrella to cover up some evidence outwitting the dogs again but as soon as Duchess and her kittens got home he bagged them and had a new plan by sending them to timbuktu but Thomas O Malley with the help of Scat Cat and his gang foiled his plans and he got sent there instead but how would have Madame reacted if she found out that Edgar had kidnapped Duchess and her kittens .
