I know that fans and/or people believe that you can not be anyone or get anywhere without that of the computer, the idea of company or franchise, or that of materialism. But in the end, this is not the truth. I know that many do not see this, but Balto has become a opportunity to prove that all of that is not the absolut truth.

There is a reson for every thing, when you look at Balto when it came out, it was not a great big hit like others of its kind. It didn't have its face ready to be put on everything when it shown to the world and that is a blessing, and now as I have seen over the years, it was not computer, it was not the company or franchise and it was not materialism that made us all awhere of Balto. Its was the gathering of ideas that comes from the best in people in both body & soul. The ideas of love, understading, faith, how important one person (or dog) can be in the world around him and many other ideas that you & others know. From all of this, we must know that it is feelings, the force of the soul, the eleaments that binds us and makes us as one, is the true drive to anything & everthing. This idea is the one and only idea that must be used to spread the word of Balto. If any other type of way is used, then once Balto becomes know then it will not be Balto, it will be like everything else. Lost of meaning and its understanding and used just because its a good image to think about.

Fans must put mind, body, and soul all together when thinking about how to spread Balto. We must reap what we sow or in other words, in order to show that we are commitment to this positive force, we must think out- side the box and make all that we make from our hands, sweat & blood. We must take our ideas and make them into items & symbols that will inforce & up lift the inspiration that we are telling to non-fans. Look at other fans like Metal head for Christ or JerseyCaptain who are doing just that, going to others in body and in doing so, making the message that they are saying real & understanding becuase people see that they have got this far and have done so much to get here and the person says 'Well this must be important if he has done all of this'.

Reading all of this you must be saying 'well you are using a computer' and that I am. But we must use these as tools and to see them as not ends to our means, but as means to our ends.We all have come together becuase we believe in the thoughts of unity & hope. We might have been drawn here by it in different froms (liking in wolfs, art, story telling) but we stay with Balto becuase of this thoughts. If this was not the case, then we would be somewhere that focus on the froms even more.

I will give now a few resons on why & how the followers of Balto can stay faithfull and have a future that will benefit all.

-Fans must depend on themselfs, for the future of balto lies in the hands & only the hands of fans. They can not lie on others who do not shair the same dream and passion that the fans do. Intellectual property is something that will not stand in the way, for it is a idea based on materialism and fans are supportive of those who have took the time to make this positive forces, not to the those who say 'we have ultimate control of everything that comes from this name'. The people of this day & age are going down the path that will put matters into ther own hands and they must prove worthy of themselfs in order for this to become true.

-Fans must come together as one force and leave no one behind. Fans must not put down other fans for what any reson becuase not one person can make this movment happen. When others look at one fan, that fan must in-body the hope and believe of the other fans so that everyone will see us have a force of one and not as a house divided. If a fan can believe that he can do it, so can the hunder others around him.

-We must not do all of this if we want to celebritys, famous, or want anything with Balto face on it in return. We must know that work and effort of soulforce, the inspiration that we want people to seek from all the work we do, is reaching others. The way we will know its working is that it spreads by word of mouth or by the way we have done it and that we see balto in places that we thought we would never see his name (like schools, more in museums, more time back on T.V.).

For my last say, I want to tell everyone that in order to make this happen & to keep it alive, we must, must, keep in mind of all that has made it was it is today. We must remember the 1925 serum run to Nome. The mushers & sled dogs that had to go through all that layed before them, in order to save a little town in Alaska and all those un-named people who where a part of it. We must remember Spielberg and the hunders of artist who have brought and show the power of that event and has open our imaginations to greter hights. And to remember the fans around you & me, who still keep those ideas that so just how incredible and how underestimated people are and can be.

I really wish that all internet browsers would have an integrated spell check. It would make a lot of stuff easier to read. I think that the only reason that the whole serum run was ever well known at all for a while was because of the movie Balto. Kind of like how the Titanic story got real steam after its movie. So it is sad, but not surprising that both would sort of die back down. That said, Balto is my favorite movie of all time, (probably not unique here) and I wish the story behind the movie would be more out and about.

ok I am only 12 so I watched the third movie when I was 5 so I remembered I wanted to watch the first and second. I did. I asked people whether they knew Balto or not. All of them didn't.

We should also do our part to keep the fan base as strong as we possibly can. A strong fan base is absolutely essential in keeping the spirit of the Balto films alive. And hopefully, we can move the Balto series beyond just "cult status" and into the "mainstream".

Ok so not to be rude, but, I have never seen so many people like Balto before. Ok, so I know that's not rude at all. I guess I am kind of glad that many people like him, even though I myself am not yet an avid fan. Edit: Ok, now that I am more familiar with Balto ( both the movies and the real story), I can say that you are right, dpstq. I shall ask my friends if they know who Balto is, and if not, invite them to watch it with me. That way, I'll be spreading the word and showing Universal that people like us still care about everything Balto, even if it is only one person at one time.

Amazing article. Balto must and will be kept alive by the true fans out there. I actually found out about a report that our teacher told us we have for school next year, where you get to choose the topic, and I chose the Nome Serum Run. Here's hoping that I can help keep Balto's and Togo's legacy both alive.
