Hey, I don't know if anyone else feels this way, or if it's just me, but I personaly think that The White Wolf, looks really creepy! If you don't remember what the white wolf looks like, this is what the white wolf looks like!:P

Yeah, so doesn't he/she look really creepy? The eyes look blank & unseeing, the ears are really small and close together, and the white wolf is REALLY big!!! The white wolf looks...... ghostly...

She is awesome! Well maybe a little creepy now that you mention it. The white wolf is Anui. Like WingsofReason was saying it can vanish so it is a spirit. Spirits are supposed to be like that

I personally don't think that the white wolf in Balto 1 is Aniu, however, I also think that there is an air of mystery around the White Wolf in Balto 1. This was done (I believe) on purpose, and, after all, the animators in the first Balto were much better than the ones in Balto 2

Okay, first of all. The White Wolf has been confirmed to be Aniu, Balto's mother, so she could never be a 'he'. Second, she is most likely a spirit, because in the second movie she is seen to disappear into the wind or smoke, which even ordinary wolves cannot do. This is also most likely the reason why she appeared much larger than any other wolf. Plus, her eyes are narrowed to show serenity, divinity, and harmony with ones spirit.

Well, for one thing, that's not actually a pic of the white wolf. It's a fan pic. and yes, the pic does look creepy XD but the white wolf was a sppirit, that may be why you feel this way

I think he/she looks that way because as others said, 1: it's a spirit, and 2: it's the way acrtic wolves generally look. They have smaller ears because it conserves body heat, and as for the eyes, that's just the way the animators did it.
