Is it just me, or da most films have something to do with father and daughter. For example: Balto 2 - Alue wanted to know who she was and Balto went to find her and help her. Racing Stripes - Sam wants her father's trust in her to race a wild animal. Herbie fully loaded - Maggie wanted her father's trust to let her drive a car in a race a few years later after she had an accident *my not be correct. Lion King 2 - Kiara wanted her father to let her grow up and make descisions for herself as well as letting her be with Kovu. They are all father and daughter related films that all depend on trust. See where I'm getting at? they're pretty much the same film but in a different form.

Wolf Quest = Vision Quest?

Yes, there are many movies like that. But, there are also many movies
where the boy gets the girl. I'm not even going to make a list of
movies that do this. |

I had noticed the connection between Racing Stripes and Fully Loaded, but the others had passed me by. Nice article! |

just because that thing is the same it doesn't mean it's all copied.. I don't agre with this. |

Wow.... I seen all those movies. But I guess that's just the tradition these days. For years it's been like that. Sami has a point for an important message for teens with parent problems. But you have made your point. This article was great! |

Its been the same for years. The theme/story line in Balto and a bunch of other fills is called the Hero's Jouney or something like that. We just talked about this in English. :B |
| January 02, 2008 | ||
Yeah... it's an important subject for teens. There are a lot of families that have those kind of problems. That is why you see it in so many films. It is an attempt for Holly Wood to try and touch base with the common people, aka: buyers and viewers. |

The stereotypical fathers in most if not all movies are always very protective of their daughters. Not to say that this isn't true in real life, it's just that movies like to use this theme a lot for some reason. Good article |

i notice that about alot of films and ps2 games (JakX:keira and samos ) but its not exactly copying |

I know what you mean. Where are the boys? How about a 'Mother and Son' sort of story? That would be a fresh change. Anyhow, I do like the father and daughter theme too, because so many people (Girls in particular) need a father figure in their life while growing up, and most kids (sadly) don't have that fathering they need. |

The girl in Racing Stripes was named Channing. Good article! |

Good point. However, it isn't considered "copying", because all of the films have different plots. For example, WQ was about how Aleu found her place, and Racing Stripes was about a zebra who wanted to race. But great point, anyway :D |
