How he's related to Balto: Son of Wit, who was a wolf previously in Nava's pack.

Other: Wit and Jerome had two puppies for their first litter one winter. One Shin survived. He grew a little, but was separated from his mother and attacked by a strange wolf who ripped his leg to shreds.

He managed to get away and was found by humans specialized in taking care of animals. They had to amputate his leg. One older woman who worked there fancied the tale of the Three Musketeers and named him after the character Aramis, and he was called that ever since.

However, Aramis was not able to interact with other wolves or other animals, because he ended up hurting them, even with three legs. So, they had to separate him.

Aramis was really stressed living there, and wanted to go home, but when they found he developed a tumor, he couldn't leave. He continued to have seizures as he lived there.

But once a new wolf was brother into his life, Dartanion, the seizures went away, for the most part. They loved each other like brothers for a wonderful year after that, until finally Aramis died.
