History: Briar was grew up in a small family pack that traveled all throughout Russia. When Briar was still young, the pack came across  an ice bridge while traveling the coast. At his adventurous, Briar began to cross it, planning on turning back when he got so far across. But after a few feet of chasing his brother, the bridge began to spread apart. The brothers had no chioce but to race across the rest of the bridge.

They arrived on the beach of Alskan Wilderness and soon found a large wolf pack that dominated the area. Their alpha male was called Nava.  The older wolf welcomed the two young ones to join his pack until next year when the ice bridge would again reform. The brother's agreed to return home next spring as Nava suggested.

A year passed and it was only days before the ice bridge reformed when two wolfdogs came to the pack:  Balto and his daughter, Aleu. It was during that time that Briar realized how scared  the rest of the wolves were of the great water. Knowing what already lay beyond it, Briar and his brother were ready at any moment to cross back into Russia.

The pack eventually followed behind Aleu across the bridge, leaving Balto, Nava, and  Niju behind. Once they had landed, things weren't as easy. Not all the wolves trusted Aleu yet because she was part dog, and Briar couldn't make himself leave the pack just yet. He traveled with the pack as they established their own territory and became more reasonable with Aleu as leader after filling themselves with caribou. Everything seemed to be turning out well and Aleu was grateful for Briar's help to gain the trust of the wolves. From there. their friendship grew until they were mates.

The next spring, Aleu and Briar had their first litter of pups, but the happy situation took a turn for the worse that winter. A terrible blizzard that lasted for about a month caused the whole back to going into hiding in a series of dens and caves. All but one of Aleu and Briar's pups died during the storm, along with many other pups and old ones and even a few healthy adults.

Hungry, tired, and cold, it was figured out that most of the caribou herd had crossed over. While Aleu wanted to stay where they were and wait for the bridge to cross back over, almost half of the wolves wanted to move farther in land. The pack split in two, separating Briar from his brother.

While waiting on the beach that next spring, Aleu birthed three more pups two days before the ice bridge formed. They went back across to their old homeland, and it was once again plentiful.

Now back in Alaska, Aleu wanted to travel back to Nome to visit her family. She, Briar, the pups, and a few others traveled into town, promising to be back before spring and telling them to keep on eye on the caribou since it seemed they could sense a bad winter better than any of the wolves could.

In Nome, after a family reunion, Aleu took  Maria back to the wolfpack with her. Although some of the wolves weren't too happy with Maria, Briar and Aleu took her under their wing as a fifth child.

Personality: Briar is serious most of the time, and can keep his head in almost any situation. He has natutal leadership that comes from being the eldest son of two pack leaders. He always wants what is best for his pack and can sense the personality of a wolf before really knowing them. He is a great judge of character and can look beyond the surface by a wisdom that is far beyond his years.
