History:Sakura and her sister Mirage were the only survivors of their litter.To make matters worse their mother didin't want them and abandoned them.They never knew her,exept that she was pure white,with a pink nose and she was a stray.Both of them took mainly their looks after her.Sakura and Mirage were only tiny puppies but they were found by a kind person who took them in and hand reared them.As she grew Mirage was the one that was chosen to train for sled racing,which she loved.Sakura didn't seem to mind;she didn't like sled racing as much as Mirage.She just didn't get what all the excitement was about.
How shes related to Balto:Her sister is on clarisses team and Clarisse is Balto's daughter.
