History: Adopted some 3 months after her birth by a Native Inuit fisherman named Jeremy Miller. His wife and son had both tragically drowned in a frozen lake, so he desperatly needed companionship. Cheyenne absolutly adores him, and despises his boss, Mr. Chaynee, for making him leave every summer on fishing excursions. While she is left alone for the summer in Nome she still has all her friends to keep her company, excluding Buck, Mr. Chaynee's large and cocky doberman who also gets left behind, who has the obnoxious idea that they will become mates. Chey hates him.

One summer while Jem is on a fishing trip his boat capsises and he starts to drown. The menwith him call the coast guard, and a rescue dog named Fly Boy recues Jeremy from drowning. Cheyenne is so greatful that she graciously follows Fly Boy around town while he stays. The two fall in love and become mates.
