Description

Name: Disaster by her first abusive owners. Renamed Dezzreil(dezz-er-eel)by her adoptive owners, and again renamed 'Saunders' when she joined a street gang. She responds to all these names, but most call her Saunders or Dezzy.

Mate: She is very independent and really doesn't want one.

Crush: secret crush on Ronum, but she also likes Ricochet

Breed: Dalmation

Personality: Saunders is hard to define in a nutshell. She is not sweet of loving or caring even, veiwing others with aloof interest. She really is a true pessimist, always bringing others down. She....well, really doesn't care about anything, not even her own integrity. She is often wheeled around by Ricochet as 'his girl' which she really doesn't object to, and she hardly ever voices her opinions. When she does they are often ignored as everyone knows she will do nothing to back them up(not to say that she wouldn't jump at the chance for a physical fight..). She gives off a 'stay away vibe' really because she dislikes company but will tolerate her friends. She does not fear company however, or other dogs or humans. She has been known to brush past people on the street without batting an eye, and this 'talent' has earned her the right to be the main scout and food-harvester (steal from meat stores) of the alley gang. Saunders is lazy and sarcastic and rarely 'angry', but if she is, she goes right to her fangs and snapps at your face. You don't mess with the Dezzy.

History:
Disaster was baught by a couple in their mid-life crisis. They were trashy people, and treated Dezzy like an old shoe. After a while they got sick of her, and handed her over to the pound. Luckily, a very poor family of seven came and adopted her. they liked her nickname, 'Dezzy', so they decided to name her Dezzreil. Dez didn't mind at first, but she soon tired of the company and ran off. She lived by herself for a long time before running into a small gang of street dogs. Raul(c)Idi, the leader, invited her into the pack, as he was rather compassionate towards other strays. She consented, and was re-named Saunders. Dez met a few gang members, including the immature, obnoxious Machette, Shila, a maned wolf beauty, Lyra, the 'alpha female', Thatcher, the brains of the group, Tylanna, a pup, and Ricochet, a rough-and tumble fighter. She caught the two mischevious eyes of Ricochet and he began showing possesion over her, though he doesn't think of her as a mate-- more like a super good friend that other males can't see, smell, touch, or look at and that he can sleep with. Saunders found him atttractive and didn't really object to this treatment, but she knew she would never take him seriously.

Presently after a year, Saunders had risen greatly in rank among the dogs, second only to a handfull. A new male was brought to their little pod, a very large black and grey malamute. However, Saunders learned that he was also half wolf and his 'bad side' piqued her interest. She found that she secretly liked him, and was very sad and down when the dog-catchers found him. Months past and Dez was almost totally resgned to the fact that he had been put to sleep when one day she saw a sled team being pulled by a popular female husky mix named Step and behind her racing a large blak dog. Dezzy's heart leapt into her throat. She went to investigate and was determined to tell him her secret admiration of him when she noticed something else...He was completely engrossed with Step, and she wouldn't give him the time of day! Saunders was furious with this Step girl, and was also strangely jealous that she would never have a chance with the black male...She holds vengefull thoughts in her mind towards Step and her whole family.

Future: I really would not like to spoil it. I have several more males and females she has to tango with before she gets what she wants...which may change as I develope the story and characters more. You won't know until I have written it, and that's that.

Other: Saunders really hates cats. she finds them lazy and pompus and doesn't like being around or being compared to them. "Filthy creatures..." ~Dezzy
