Location: Kansas

History: Izzy was born on a farm in Kansas, a small shed was her home, her father and mother were both herding dogs and mates. Izzy's owner, Farmer Neil bred Izzy's father and mother together to make more herding dogs for the farm. Once Izzy was old enough to understand what she was destined for, she started her training in the fields with her father and mother and the rest of her siblings, but she could not understand why she wasn't as interested in herding like the rest of her family. In the fields she would get distracted by other things such as butterflies, cars, and her playmate, a little girl human named Annia. Izzy grew attached to Annia from the day she was born, like her mother and father, Annia was everything to her. In the mornings Izzy would wait outside the front door to the house for Annia. They played by the stream and when Izzy grew tired Annia would sit under the willow tree with Izzy on her lap and read to her, even though Izzy was too young to understand her words, her warm voice soothed her to sleep. As Izzy grew she started to see less of Annia, it hurt Izzy, she would continue to wait by her door everyday. When Izzy reached the age of 1 year her father explained to her that he had overheard the humans saying Annia was deathly sick, she had something called cancer. Izzy's heart broke, she didn't understand what cancer was, but she hoped that whatever it was would go away and stop hurting her human. A few weeks later Izzy learned Annia had died. For days Izzy layed by the willow tree and searched the stream for Annia, her mother tried explaining to her that she was never coming back, but Izzy refused to believe her. After a while, Izzy came to realize that Annia was not coming back, she returned to the shed and continued her training. Like before, Izzy still could not seem to catch onto growing a interest in herding, her father grew angry, knowing if she didn't obey Farmer Neil then she'd be sent away. Izzy's father made her train from early morning till sunset, until she completely quit. Izzy started wandering around the farm, causing trouble she didn't mean to comit. Farmer Neil saw her as a useless farm animal and sent her away to a pound, she didn't understand that she would never see her family again, so she willingly got into  his truck. Once dropped off at the pound, she was put into a cage with another dog. He acted strange towards her, he would lay real close to her and make strange comments,she started to hate the pound. When the male dog got too close one day, she instinctively attacked him, something she had never done. The pound moved her to another cage, where she was all alone, with a strap wrapped around her muzzle. Izzy grew depressed, only looking forward to meals and to visitors, who were frightened from her label "violent" behavior and looked past her, until one day. A female human in bright blue scrubs walked past her cage, stopped, and went back. Instead of jumping up and wagging her tail like she usually did when visitors came, she just layed still, knowing humans only rejected her, but this one was different, this human had noticed her. The human knelt down and stuck her hand through the cage, petting through Izzy's fur, Izzy felt as if Annia was petting her once again, she looked up at the human and from then on loved her ever since. The human, named Patricia, took Izzy home. Izzy loved her new home and human, Patricia often took Izzy to work with her at the children's hospital, seeing the dog made the children happy. Izzy learned that other humans called her human "Nurse" and "Patricia", so when Izzy heard these words she knew they were speaking of her human, and in her heart she would smile. 

-Izzy has a little bit of blue in her right eye, the rest of her eye is blueish-green
