History: When Lio was born, he was raised by his father, who was a hateful wolf. The only thing he loved was power, and he wouldn't stop at anything to get it. As Lio grew, he took up his fathers traits. When his father was killed by old age, for some reason Lio blamed the leader of the forest, the old wolf Hitachi. Lio vowed to kill Hitachi, and as his plan was put into action, he didn't realise what he had just done. Once the old wolf was dead, the forest bagan to die. Lio returned to his cave, and fell asleep, the blood still on his paws and muzzle. In his dream, Hitachit confronted him. He told Lio his time was coming to die, and now somebody else had to look after the forest in his place. He told him that he had been chosen, and when he had woken up, he would be 're-born', given a fresh start, his mind now calm and happy instead of muderous and conniving. And he would be immortal and have powers in his arsenal. As promised, when Lio had woken up, his fur was clean and he felt at peace with himself for once in his life. He knew he would have to look after the forest well. He prevents hunters from hunting in the forest and he looks after all the animals, unless they are there to be eaten by his kind.

Relation to Balto: Theme (animal that was in the movies) and he looks after the forest just outside Nome.
