History: Lucy waa born in Fairbanks, Alaska  to a breeding female samoyed and a stray lab. The husky breeder that owned her mother was kind enough to keep the mix-breed pups and their father. Lucy's mother went back to breeder pure-breds, but Lucy and her two siblings had a great parents in their father. Lucy spent a lot of time playing with the pure-bred pups that were on sale, and she found her best friend in a husky named Lewis.

When Lucy and Lewis were older, Lucy turned herself out on the streets while Lewis was training to be a sled dog. Lucy watched Lewis pratice, but she could tell that Lewis wasn't really that into racing no matter how good he was. Lewis eventually run away from the team and joined Lucy on the streets. Lucy taught Lewis how to survive as a stray, and the two lived together for a while.

When Lucy was about three years old, a new dog came to Fairbanks. Her name was Amber. Lewis was very taken to her, and Lucy grew to really like her too. The three of them became very good friends, and Lucy eventaully found out that Amber was the daughter of the famous Balto of Nome. This changed nothing in the friendship other than make them closer.

Lucy and Amber had a heart-to-heart later on, and Lucy convinced Amber to accept Lewis as her mate. Lucy told Amber that she would be fine with the two of them being together. She had the same sort of discussion with Lewis the next day, but Amber and Lewis did finally become mates. Lucy was very happy for her two friends.

Amber and Lewis soon after decided to visit Nome to see Amber's family and to tell them of her pregnancy. Lucy stayed in Fairbanks and waited for their return. A few days later, the mail team came into Fairbanks, with Amber's brother Kodi in the lead. He told her that Amber had gone into labor while in Nome, and she had to stay there to birth her pups. Amber and Lewis wouldn't be able to return for a while.

Lucy wanted to go see them, but Kodi told her that it would be better if she stayed in Fairbanks. It would be hard enough getting Amber, Lewis, and the pups back to Fairbanks without having to also get Lucy back too. Kodi agreed to bring her news of the couple whenever the mailteam came through Fairbanks. Lucy agreed with the plan, and stationed herself outside the post office everyday for Kodi's message.

After a few weeks of this, Kodi and Lucy spent a lot of time together, and Lucy found herself taking a liking to Amber's older brother. About the time when Amber and Lewis were coming back to Fairbanks, Lucy and Kodi became mates. Kodi still kept his job as a mail dog in Nome, but he spends most of his time in Fairbanks with Lucy and their pups.

Personality: Lucy is a sweet and kind dog who will go out of her way to help a stranger. She is very optimistic, and nothing seems to get her down. She is often engergetic and hyper, but she doesn't rush into things. Because she lives on the streets, Lucy has learned to be very clever and slightly wise. She is also a loyal friend and a great advice-giver.
