Parents: unknown
Siblings: unknown
Eye color: brown
Voice: Dennis Quaid, with a slight but noticeable French accent; sometimes he speaks French

Personality: He is curious, nice, funny, soft-spoken, given to neither physical nor emotional excess. Beneath his calm demeanor exists a restless mind that resists conformity. He gets really shy around girls.
Likes: the Northern lights, the moon at night, the snow
Dislikes: being called by his full name, Steele, loud noises, hearing people coughing (it reminds him of his owner before he died from diphtheria), not having a home
He was born in Paris, France, in 1923, in the upper floor of a woodworker's shop. He was always a curious little pup, getting into everything, sometimes getting hurt. He even took a few tumbles down the stairs during his puppy days. Months later in 1924, when he was 1, the owner of the shop decided to retire and move to America, taking Michel-Guillaume with him. Since he was tired of the hot weather in Paris, he moved to Nome, Alaska, and bought a home there. When Michel was 2, the diphtheria epidemic broke out, and his owner was one of those who got sick and died from the disease. He was somewhat happy when Balto returned, though too late to save his owner. Since then, he just wanders around town, and at night, sleeps under the floor of the hospital.
