History:  She was born in Russia, next to Ukraine's border (a town called 'Rostov'). Her mother comes from Ukraine (although she was born in Nome)  and father comes from Russia. She was up for adoption in the age of 6 months. A man who bought her later moved into Nome for a job and he took Valentina too. In Nome she is realizing that Jenna is her cousin. Also, Steele falls in love with her. It seems like he likes Valentina more than Jenna. Jenna is kinda happy that he won't bother her anymore. But Valentina has got someone she loves in Russia... it is a west siberian laika called Perun. She still believes she will return there or that Perun will find her because she believes in true love between her and Perun.
