Nicknames: Now goes by "Pros", only by Dingo usually. He was originally named Dakota by his parents, which changed to Chance after Rosy got a hold of him.

Likes: Long walks, running, Charlie, Dingo, his parents, his team, and snow

Dislikes: Most flirty females, Kodi, being cooped up, and unfairness

Wishes: To be a champion lead-dog

Fears: Losing Dingo to any male, accident, or human

Personality: Prosper was the second oldest pup of Balto/Jenna right under Kodi. At a young age Prosper was very aware that Kodi didn't care for his siblings but rather the 'cool' dogs in town, which angered Prosper ever since he was a pup. He took on the role of older brother and cared for his younger sisters with so much kindness and compassion that his sisters usually preferred him over their parents. As an older-brother type Prosper quickly took on a protective, observant character which made males reluctant to mess with his sisters, which Prosper found absolutely hilarious. 

Due to his observant behavior he tends to be very strategic and clever, often running two steps ahead than the basic dog. Prosper is also a huge push-over, which he hates, but he's a sensittive, benign soul who will break under any begging from his sisters. He's also loyal, but his loyalty is cut short after his sisters and parents. He often tends to be a wallflower, making leading a team a real challenge for him but he attempts to manage it under all his anxiety. Because of his timid, shy side he doesn't like when females fall all over him, licking him or curling up beside him. He likes to have a playful banter with a girl, not cuddle up to her, at least not until he feels comfortable with them. He's also very stubborn and is easily-frustrated, making him a hard-worker yet very hard to sway when faced with a voting problem. 

Also, since he's mostly a calm guy he has a very relaxing, comforting drawl and can use it to his advantage when attempting to sway crowds. He knows exactly what to say to make people feel better and can use humor to brighten dark moods. 

Appearance: He has a darker, more rusty red then his mothers and a lighter gray shaded undercoat from his father. His eyes are a dull gray, which reminds Balto of his father and he's fairly certain that's where he recieved them from. He has his father's back leg markings but much higher on his leg. His tail can either curl or flow out, but is usually seen curling but not as tight as most huskies. He has a star on his forehead and two white strips on his nose and shoulder. He also wears his mother's old bandanna.

As mentioned above he has a very very close relationship with Dingo and finds himself only truly himself when he's around Dingo.

Crush(s) on Him: Diana: Because Prosper is so oblivious to most females he is unaware of her crush on him, but if he knew he'd be very flattered...as he has feelings for Diane too, he just doesn't know how strong yet.

Bio:  Prosper was born like any of his other siblings but by the time he was a month old he had a mature edge to him. Kodi had begun to hang around a young Dusty and Kirby around this time and often made fun of his siblings just to cause his friends a nice laugh. This irked Prosper, who officially named himself the protector of his younger sisters. He and Kodi had many arguements because of it and he was often frustrated that Balto usually took the side of Kodi. 

When the time came that the pups had to be given to new families, Prosper found himself excited at all the possibilties. But Rosie decided to keep him rather than sell him because he had always been her favorite pup. At first Prosper was a little unhappy about not being able to go try something new but he quickly got used to life with Rosie, Jenna, and their family. But Prosper wasn't the type who was able to survive their lazy, indoor life style and often got into trouble with street dogs around the house. 

Kodi had come by one day to visit Jenna while Prosper was out. When Prosper returned to the house he heard Kodi talking about him behind his back, telling his mother very bluntly that Prosper had no chance to be a sled dog or anything as great as Balto. Prosper was offended and confronted Kodi, which quickly turned into a physical fight. When Balto and Rosie rushed upont the scene, tender-hearted Prosper was ultimately blamed for the incident. Prosper ran away, feeling unwanted, and found his way to Dingo's home. 

He and Dingo talked for a while and Prosper was able to calm down enough just to tell his closest sister good-bye before he left town. He ran a few miles outside of Nome and came across an Irish immigrant named Charlie. Charlie loved Prosper from the moment he saw his red-coat, naming him Prosper after his red-headed grandfather's constant saying "Live long and prosper". 

Prosper lived with Charlie from then on, but stll had a love for racing. He always dragged Charlie to town to watch the end of races and talk to his sister, unfortunately Charlie was a full-time lumberjack and had no time to train or run a sled dog team, despite the potential he saw in his dog. But during one of these visits, Kodi approached Prosper again, giving him the news that he was officially part of the mail team. Prosper wasn't about ready to let his brother win and came up with a plan. 

Everyday Charlie would leave early in the morning and say good-bye to Prosper with a large bone. After he had left, Prosper would walk the few miles back to town and meet with Steele, who had always had a liking for this son of Balto. He would always bring his bone for Steele and in return Steele, who was now hated by most of the dogs in town, would train him. When racing season came around Steele asked Prosper to join his team as his fellow lead dog. 

The two were an odd pair, not only were they supposed to be sworn enemies, but their personalties were polar opposites, but the two had a liking for each other and Steele saw that Prosper was a true sled-dog, despite his wolf blood. Before their first race, Jenna gave her son her bandanna as a gift to him for never giving up and not letting what happened to him as a pup get to him. Prosper accepted the gift and with one last goodbye to his favorite sister, Dingo, he ran his first race and his team won. 

When Charlie saw Prosper in the paper the next week he was shocked at the dog's acts. How could his dog be on this team when he stayed at home all day? Charlie soon discovered that Pros had been sneaking out after he left for work. Charlie never had the heart to stop the dog though and even showed up to his next race, cheering very loud for his companion. 

After winning so many races and hanging around with Steele and his gang, the females in the town began to flirt with him, loving his quiet guy personality. But Prosper never liked the violent pursuits from the females and would often go off and hang out with Dingo instead of the large groups of females who often trailed he and Steele around. As his popularity grew the more thick the tension between he and Kodi. Especially when Kodi's closest friends, Kirby and Dusty began to hang out with Steele and Prosper rather then him.
