History: Little is known about Varadan's past. He was one of six fox kits, but early on he was orphaned when his mother and siblings were killed. He fended for himself in the years that followed.

When Aleu and her mate, Shadow, began their journey to New York, Varadan saved Aleu from drowning. This earned her trust, and he traveled with them afterwards.

Several years later, Shadow fell off a cliff and was considered dead. Varadan offered himself to Aleu as a replacement mate, which Aleu accepted. Varadan spent the rest of his life with Aleu, even helping to raise her daughter, Jenna, as his own.

Personality: Varadan, unlike most other foxes, was completely selfless. He rarely worried about himself, instead spending his time focusing on his friends, particularly Aleu and Shadow. He was also quick to accept responsibility, and only relinqueshed it when he was certain he had done all he could. He also loved Aleu with all his heart.
