James Horner : RIP

Written by steet :

This is a pretty sad news that I've just learned : James Horner, the famous composer of the soundtracks of many movies including Titanic and Balto, has died after a plane crash. He was 61.

Composer

Thank you for all the emotions you've brought to us Balto fans, you'll always be remembered for that!

O' Cap'n My Cap'n!
He was one of the industry's great composers, and contributed to some great projects. His work on Titanic, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Troy, Braveheart and Balto were specific favorites of mine. He will be missed...but we do have his vast body of work to still appreciate.

I'm not good with long heart felt goodbyes, but this is a true loss to the film industry.

None yet, thanks!
Yeah it was just such a shock to read the news. This is one of many reasons I absolutely hate and detest flying unless I have no other way of getting somewhere. Be it commercial or private.

Anyways that being said how ironic and sad is it that this is just a few months shy of 20 years for one of his greatest scores? It's a bit of a haunting fact if you ask me....That being said RIP James. 61 is still way too soon. This really sucks!!

His death may have been very tragic, but the legacy of his music will continue to live on. Thank you James for your contribution to many of my favourite movies.
