A new game has been announced from Disney Interactive Studios, the gaming company responsible for over twenty years' worth of Disney-related computer games. The game, a branch-off of "Disney: Sing It!" is called "Sing It: Family Hits".
The game will be available on Sony PlayStation3 and Nintendo Wii, and will arrive sometime this summer. It will feature karaoke songs from several well-known Disney films, both old and new. A few movies whose songs are included in the game really caught my attention, such as "Mary Poppins", "The Jungle Book", and "Cinderella", and then more recent films like "The Lion King", "Toy Story", and even "The Princess and the Frog".
One interesting thing about the game is that it will include video tutorials and vocal exercices from Anika Noni Rose (the voice behind Tiana in Princess & The Frog), which will help players to improve their singing.
"Disney: Sing It!" is a spin-off title from Disney's video game "High School Musical: Sing It!", based on Disney Channel's Original Movie "High School Musical". Its popularity caused Disney Interactive to release "DIsney: Sing It!", and later an expansion called "Sing It: Pop Hits". To date, the three games are the most successful non-movie games Disney Interactive has released. "Sing It: Family Hits" is rated E for Everyone. Expect to see it soon!

Honestly, I think it's a "nice" sort of games, and certainly deserves
to do better sales than the awful adaptations of Bolt or Princess &
The Frog in video games. (to quote some recent ones) Still, the ones I will put my money on are the upcoming Kingdom Hearts : Birth By Sleep and Epic Mickey, because these are TRUE ambitious games that Disney fans can't miss. If you hesitate between this Disney Sing it "game" and these, save your money for the latters. |

I don't really like to think of this as a video game. When I think of
video games, I think Nintendo. But that doesn't mean it doesn't sound
fun! I did a little bit of the High School Musical version of this
game when I was visiting my cousins, and even though I wasn't that
much of an HSM fan, I thought the concept rather cool, and I love to
sing. If you convert that game into one encompassing classic animated
Disney (and put it on the Wii!) then you have something I definitely
want. Hee hee. |

I hope I get this someday. Then I could be listening to TLK songs all
day long, as well as my other favorite Disney classics. |

I'm hoping we'll see fewer of these games and more games like once
they release "Split Second" and "Epic Mickey" and will hopefully do
well and inspire Disney to make more games that follow the more
traditional route instead "Sing it" and "Hannah Montana". |

I will pass on that one, back in old times, Disney had many good games
made after their movies, like The Lion King(

those. Nowdays, I had not seen any really good. |
