I got this movie on DVD for Christmas. It was great, I loved it! The one thing I didn�t like about it was the end. Togo was great, and Balto was a hero too.
I feel sorry for Seppala. He once said that he never had a better dog than Togo. He must have felt so sad when Balto got all the credit.

some good comments here, but the best way to describe it is this; everyone who took place in the serum run is a hero. From the last dog in line even the mushers. right down to the dogs who got damaged beyond repair.

Yes Togo was a real hero but that doesn't mean that Balto wasn't. It is true that Togo ran the most miles and was put in danger several times but Balto did run the second longest miles and had to face danger as well. Just read "The cruelest Miles" if you would like to know more. Also most don't know that Balto and Togo were owned by the same guy so I see his hatred of Balto as unjust, It wasn't his fault that he was put in the spotlight. He was just doing what he was supposed to do and went above and beyond the call of duty and became a hero in his own right. So in the end Balto was a big reason that the medicine was able to get to Nome in time to save the children. Instead of hating or disliking one or the other why not just recognize that they were both instrumental in the 1925 diphtheria race against time.

I would like to watch it, but, for me, Balto is still a ture hero

Too bad Disney+ is so limited in Europe right now :/
I'm so longing for Disney+ and would willingly buy it for tons of Disney, Lucasfilm and Marvel content but I can't :/

well.... my childhood just deid. balto was/is my hero from my childhood... but now i know it wasnt the true story. i think everyone of us have this feeling. i loved balto still do but now i cant unseen this fact togo was the hero most of the time balto was just a replacement
