Personality: Fun loving, sweet, though sometimes a little high-strung. He loves to joke around, but sometimes he doesn't know when to stop. It takes a lot to get him angry, and when he is, it's a short burst of fury and then icy indifference. He doesn't tend to hold grudges, which made him very vulnerable to teasing and bullying as a pup. He tends to be gullible and get excited about little things. When he meets someone new, he always tries to make friends. If he's being taunted, his first defense is to walk away. He tends to want to settle arguments with words, not a fight. He loves food, but he isn't fat because he's a mail dog. He doesn't normally go after the girls.
History: He was bullied as a pup, but now he has many good friends. However, his small circle of good friends are his constant companions. He was bred for racing, but when he injured a paw as a small pup, it was clear he would never be out on the racetrack. Then, a the mailman offered to train him for mail delivery, and Ryder's breeder agreed, since the work wasn't as strenuous or as high-maintenance. When he became a maildog at age 2, many of the girls in Nome started to pay attention to him, but he remained happily ignorant of their affections. He now is one of the leaders on his sled team and a very respected dog in his town.
