Not Like The Others
Poor Spica is always the odd one out ;P
It seems to be the topic of some debate over Aleu having dog-looking offspring. I would like to state that this is a cartoon (so we can get creative with things here ;p) and Aleu is mostly dog. She is 3/4 dog- but the movie took liberties with genetics and made her look way more wolf than even Balto did. I'm taking those same liberties for the sake of my plot as well. She's a genetic throwback from Aleu and Niju. She often feels she doesn't belong and a little lost among her wolf-ish siblings.
Spica is 5/8 wolf- but she clearly looks more dog. For all of you who wondered...

The wolfdog versus dog versus wolf thing will always be a point of
debate on this site, where characters (either official or fan-created)
are concerned. It's just the nature of people to want to attribute
such things to their characters (or not). And it's unlikely that it's
going to go away whenever someone creates a relative or offspring of
Balto or Aleu, or the other official Balto/Jenna puppies, let alone
any discussions about Balto himself. Still, it was noted that Aleu
looked and acted more wolfish than even her siblings, so... XD This is a nice drawing. |
