Balto Shading/Eye Practice
Hey lookie a Balto has appeared!
Ok, I know I said I wan leaving, but I'm back. For numerous reasons, such as nostalgia and really missing the site. I'll keep this as short and concise as possible.
A few people were missing me, and I was missing the site, so I decided to return. After taking almost a month-long break and doing a lot of thinking, I decided it was moot to leave anyway, because acording to an older member, it's been this way for years. I was just oblivious. Also, me leaving wouldn't help restore the site anyway. Because, truly, deep down, no matter how stomach churning and heartbreakingly terrible this site gets, I will always have nostalgia and love for it. And I do wish for it to be fixed. And having a, dare I say, more mature and less n00b member here will help the cause all the more.
You can think whatever the frik you please, but I'm hot an attention seeker. I left because I truly thought I wanted to leave, that it was best. But this site has been a big part of my life for more than a year and the movie was so much for me as a younger child, and it's hard to let go so easily.
So, anyway, I'm back. I'm not here to be criticized for being an attention whore or be picked at for making a fuss about leaving, then coming back, I'm here to share this fandom with you as I have in the past, and restore this site from the brink of extinction to become a caring community once more. Take me or leave me, it's your choice. *shrugs*
And as a final note, I do still believe strongly in EVERY point I made on my goodbye image, nothing there has changed.
ANYWAY, long dramatical shpeal aside, I sketched this up today doring my free time. I really like it <3. I tried to make him look like the Balto as well as incorporating my style. HELPFUL, CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is welcome.
And, I'm starting sophomore year tomorrow (yikes, and yes, I am fourteen. P
so my time will be a bit more limited from now on. D: *wants to beat school with lead pipe*

Welcome back :D The only critique I can offer you on this is go around your lines and clean up the few stray pixels outside the lines. Other than that, this is stunning! I especially love the eyes! |

Welcome back to Balto Source, Maxie! This drawing is wonderful. I love your drawing style, and this shading is really nice too. The eyes have to be the most stunning piece in this work of art. This drawing has actually just inspired gave me a drawing idea, and it's thanks this this shading style! =D And I don't mean as in copy, but the lighting gave me an interesting idea. |
