Looks like a more adolescent Balto to me. I think it's the fact that
he doesn't look quite as thin as he did in the first movie. Nicely
done. |

Thanks for the feedback guys! Really appreciate the pointers and
reference image ^-^! However, as much trouble as I did have with the
paws mostly, I'm happy and satisfied with the outcome since even tho
I've never really drawn a pose like this before, it's the closest I
could get to the original style of Balto with my own style (and
without any sort of reference), since I don't really practice drawing
specifically Balto but do practice canines in general. Good to see
helpful criticism, but I'm satisfied with just the way it is :3, after
all I was told by my art teacher for the current quarter that you'll
never learn anything in art unless you allow for yourself to make
mistakes and try not to correct them, even if I did erase some bits to
correct as I was drawing him (mostly those back legs). The shortness
of the muzzle isn't very noticeable XD, and given he's a cartoon
character the Laws of Physics don't really apply to that bent paw .
Can't always be perfect, and I think it's good that I'm able to
impliment my own style into the original Balto style ^.^!Bottom line is, again thanks for the pointers and reference image, but I'm not gonna bother changing him now XD. |

It really is quite good actually. I'm not sure if the left forepaw is
bent too far necessarily. But Balto's muzzle looks just a tad (and I
do mean just a tad) short for his overall head structure. You may
wish to look at more screen shots to get some more ideas on that. I think the thing you do have to remember is, but for very, VERY brief nano seconds in time, whenever an animal is running, one foot/paw will always be on the ground. Here, it appears as though all four of Balto's paws are in the air. That is where the left forepaw may seem somewhat out of sorts. |

Cool drawing, and great anatomy skills! But I think the issue here is
the paw is rolled over to the side too far, making it look bent. This picture may help if you want to make a correction: http://www.dogrunner.uk/wp-content/uploads/3840x2160.jpg |
