El Ganso y La Loba Blanca
Boris and Aniu, aka the White Wolf.
Somehow I've always perceived Balto's history as such:
Balto's mother Aniu lived on the outskirts of Nome, where Boris also lived (on an unused boat). Boris often sees Aniu scavenging or hunting for food. He probably becomes a close friend of hers somehow. Later, Boris adopts Balto when Aniu either goes missing or is killed.
This picture was done with watercolours, on 300gsm watercolour paper. The title is Spanish and I hope it's grammatically correct . . .

the paper adds a nice touch to it...as well as the splatters and the
paint trails along the bottom. |

Really nicely done. The shading is brilliant, and as a former
watercolour painter I know that a good shading effect is hard to get.
