Well, it's like Rafiki said. "Yes, the past can hurt. But the way I see it you can either run from it, or learn from it." The one who just latched onto me after a minute and some-odd seconds was pretty awkward, though, especially since I was trying out a new school that day. i suspect all the time I spent running had something to do with my not getting accepted there.

It must've been REALLY awkward with the 1 who wanted to get married & with the other 1 who wanted to be "yours" after a few mins.

No worries. But seriously, there was one who latched onto me less than two minutes after we met, another one who wanted to be my girlfriend after only having met that day and then spent the next two years chasing other guys and begging me not to break up with her (you can tell from the fact that I kept listening to her that I was an idiot where girls were involved), and lastly one who was talking "if (something in how she talked about it made it sound more like "WHEN") we get married" less than a month after she and I officially got past the "just friends" stage. So, yeah, back on subject. In my experience the "choose whoever you want" approach is far from as advertised.
