That's true too. I suppose I'm thinking too much in terms of strict biology; even with mythical animals I tend to think in terms of what behaviors and physiology would serve them; for example, if a griffin had bird legs and lion legs or whatever, would the bird legs be more practical in front or back. That kind of thing.

I really have to learn to look at these things in a strictly artistic manner.

cat --> I suppose. I'm just not used to seeing birds positioned like that; most of the times I've seen them with one wing out and one in, they were preening.
