Adak's Journey
Fun little side story....
The caribou have once again gone missing, and the pack is hungry. Niko and Adak go out hunting. They encounter a bear, but when Adak looks into the bears eyes he senses that the bear knows where to find Caribou. Niko doesn't listen to Adak telling him to wait and attacks the bear, Niko gets badly beaten and barely escapes- thinking Adak is with him. Adak has been missing for days, the brothers search for him. Yakone clearly wants revenge. Niko is all scratched up behind him and blames himself.

Spica has overheard the news of their missing brother and is devastated by the news. The sisters mourn for their brother fearing the worst. Yildun and her mother- Aleu both have visions of him still alive. Desna, Yakone and their father- Niju would all like to go after the bear in revenge. But cannot find the bear or Adak.

Ha! Adak isn't dead, but he has been separated from Niko during the attack. He feels something pushing him onward- something he can't explain is telling him he must follow the path. Could it be his ancient instincts leading him to caribou?
Aniu works in mysterious ways.
