Name: Firestorm
Age: Adult
Gender: Buck
Breed: Marsh Deer
Personality: As a fawn, Firestorm was very unpleasant and grating. He seemed convinced they world revolved around him - he was arrogant, self-centered and conceited, convinced that every doe his age had a crush on him. That made him feel like he had no reason to impress them. But as he grew, Firestorm matured and became clever, determined, and headstrong. He didn't care to fight much, and thus feels he probably won't end up with a mate because of it. Strangely enough, it doesn't bother him.
History: When he was young, Firestorm lived in South America - the marsh deer's home range - with his mother and sister. He had no name - names were just a sound, after all, and sound attracts hunters to the already-vulnrable species. Of course, Firestorm hadn't been told just yet how endangered they were.
As he grew, Firestorm was told by his mother that Marsh Deer were decreasing. This helped him mature - his reaction had been rather juvenile. Firestorm took his sister and a small herd and they headed north - to Maine. Along the way, several of the ragged group died of various reasons, while a few more decided to stay in some forests. Firestorm, as the name of his species implies, perferred marshes, and refused to stop until he found the right place. Eventually, though. the nameless young adult found that he had to stopin exhaustion.
He found himself in a forest of Maine, approached by none other than the great prince. He wanted to stay, and he desprately asked the Prince if he could. He turned to his son, then said yes, asking Firestorm's name, shocked when he answered, "Where I come from, we don't have names. We know eachother by the leap of our step and the gleam of our eye."
Later that day, firestorm grazed with the herd. He looked up when everyone else did -
To see the most beautiful doe he had ever laid eyes on. This doe had Bambi's tan fur, but a darker red stripe down her back - Bambi's daughter. It was then that in his daze, she approached him. She had asked him what his name was, and he gave her the reply he had her grandfather. She then stated simply, "You look like a firestorm, with that fur." And thus he took that as his name. The only problem was that she was a white-tailed deer.
