Valerie the water (vampire) deer
Probably my favorite character I've made (as well as Ash) I've not seen one water deer on sight so ... any way Gums I present what could be Renall's mate if you like her. Her basic history (it'll build up)
As a fawn, Valerie lived happily with her parents and was an only fawn but she always longed for a friend to be happy with. But hunters love shooting Water deer and taking there coats and fangs so Valerie and her parents tried to run, but her parents were shot, making her an orphan. Later she made her way into Bambi's fathers forest where she was teased by other fawns about her fangs, so she hid. Later in fawn life during a very harsh winter, she was left for dead in the snow, no other deer would take her in. She was later found by a group of dangerous forest creatures calling them selves: the forest fears. The group consisted of an Eagle, wolf, a bear, two foxes, a stray hound and a hawk. They accepted her into the group because of her fangs and taught her how to become a forest fear, scaring other forest creatures. She would eventually become the second in command. The leader of the group, the Eagle sent her on a mission to kill a nearby buck threatening the group. Valerie took his description:
Bole, Coffee and Chamoisee, and dark Bistre browns. This wasn't helpful, but Valerie found the buck. But when she saw him, he didn't look like a threat, he just seemed to like be protective, he didn't even seem to like violence when Valerie challenged him. He said his name was Renall and stated he wasn't trying to harm the group, the group was doing allot of harm to the other forest creatures. Valerie wavered, but then realized he might spread the word about her, and she feared being teased like she was as a fawn. But The buck promised he wouldn't tell, and if he did, she could challenge him, knowing he wouldn't tell. Over the next few days he would meet her sometimes but she never wandered far. But the doe was interested in this deer's life, he wasn't a water deer, but he seemed to be a deer, so she followed him. When she came to the edge of the meadow she saw the brown buck telling everybody of a strange fanged deer. Angry Valerie wandered back to her group but as she was going through the bush she heard the Renall behind her, and turned to challenge him.
He denied and told her it was his brother a buck called Ronno. And telling her she had to remember her fawn life, which she hated thinking about. He was telling her this when she leapt up and bit him on the leg, an untamed wild fire in her eyes. She snapped at every word he tried to say. As she was about to bite again another buck came and rammed into her. It was Ronno. He told her that Renall was telling the truth, and it was him that had told the deer, he had followed his brother, and he was sorry. Valerie kicked him hard, but he continued to talk to her saying:
I told them because I was afraid, just like your afraid
I'm not afraid of anything, especially not him She snapped
Your not afraid OF him, but FOR him, you once would kill, but I can tell your not into it
Valerie sighed, it was true. She calmed down, falling to the ground. After Ronno had gone she went to see Renall and tell him she was sorry, and Ronno explained to the deer he was sorry, and he had been bullying her, like he did as a fawn, and Valerie hoped she would one day be accepted, but she stayed within the borders of the forest in her own private den and every so often Renall would visit ...
