20 years ago this month. This classic movie came out to the world. The movie will be exactly 20 years old on December 22. 3 days before Christmas. So I'd just thought I'd should of made a forum post about this film being 20. So I did.

Just seen the first Balto yesterday. I mean, I have watched it before but not the whole movie, only some parts of it.
It's a great one.
Sadly I don't think universal will make some Anniversary Pack or something, that would be neat! :)
So yeah, Happy Birthday to the animated Balto. :D

You need to try to watch the whole movie. It's my all-time favorite movie.

Well, yesterday I watched more than half of the movie on the TV. Sadly, I couldn't catch up the whole movie :( And indeed, it's really a masterpiece of a movie.
Besides Brother Bear (wich I consider my all time favorite) this comes as the second after it. But still, I like Balto more and more.
Hope I will find some DVD's too, but in my country they don't sell any of these.

Interesting how it's already been 20 years now.

AC lives in England (that's about a five to eight hour difference from the U.S.), so it was probably already Tuesday when he made his post.

Call me crazy, but I'm not excited like a lot of other users are about the film being twenty years old. But I will say that time sure does fly!

Mighty, you're not the only one. XD of course the movie is very dear to me, but I'm just not that crazy about these anniversaries.

Muuuch more importantly than this anniversary is the fact that, in a matter of a few days the anniversary of the start of the 1925 Nome serum run will be upon us. And then, a week thereafter, the anniversary of its completion, and the arrival of the serum in Nome.

Personally, that is what I am excited about. This movie anniversary may be all well and good but, since Universal Pictures obviously isn't taking the matter seriously, it will be, at best, a dull sigh. Unfortunately.

Maybe Universal is starting to kinda care about Balto because I'd seen a rereleased Balto DVD at my local Walmart but it's still the same DVD as before and crappyier front cover. It literally looks like its bootleg but its not.

I doubt it. If Universal really wanted to release a Blu-ray version of the film, they would. Otherwise I wouldn't get your hopes up just because the DVD was re-released with a modified cover.
