Marshall was lying on his side, torn up and bleeding, but alive.

"Mom, Dad... I'm sorry. They followed me back. I tried to stop them. I could only save one." Marshall said, the last pup coming out of hiding and laying against him.

"Marshall, my son, they got you too?" Zasshu growled, turning to Cheyanne. "I'm coming with you." Zasshu told her. "We're gonna take her down together."

Zasshu turned to his siblings.

"Rukii, stay with Marshall and our last pup, and the rest of the pack. You're in charge 'till we get back." Zasshu said. "Shinso and Markus, you two are coming with me and Cheyanne to kick some wolf scum ***!"

"Fine. You two can come. But I'm going after Choker. You can go after the other two." Cheyanne growled, picking up their scents and running off.

Sapphire looked up from Markus to see that he was needed. "You better go. They need you." she whispered sadly.

Zasshu and Shinso ran off with Cheyanne to track the three murderous wolves.

"Don't worry, I'll be back." Markus told Sapphire, nuzzling her reassuringly, then ran off to catch up with Cheyanne, Zasshu, and Shinso.

After about half an hour of tracking, the four wolves located Choker, Blood, and Rip. Shinso and Markus both pounced on Rip and teamed up on him. Zasshu tackled Blood to the ground and took him on alone. And, of course, Cheyanne faced off with Choker.

Rip tucked his tail between his legs, "What did I do?" he yelled. Rip was a lot smaller than Choker, and he was only following her for now. Blood and Choker were the ones who killed their pups. "What did I do?!"

Blood snarled and kicked his way out of Zasshu's grip and tackled him. Blood was a large wolf, and he wasn't about to give up. Blood pinned Zasshu and grabbed his ear, ripping the tip off before he lost hold of it.

Choker and Cheyanne went at it wildly, clawing and snapping their jaws. There were a couple of times they stood on their hind legs and tor at each other's ears.

Markus took Rip's scruff in his jaws and threw him to the ground on his back, where Shinso pinned him down.

"Do NOT move or I WILL kill you!" Shinso snarled in Rip's face.

"You know very well what you did, Murderer!" Markus growled, also in Rip's face, unaware that Rip was uninvolved with the actual killing of the pups.

Zasshu was no small wolf. He was a dire wolf, and was just as large as, if not larger than Blood. Zasshu ignored his torn off ear tip and kicked his back paws hard into Blood's stomach, throwing Blood off of him. Zasshu slashed Blood across the face with a massive swipe of his paw, cutting long, deep, bleeding gashes into the side of Blood's muzzle. Zasshu then headbutt Blood hard in the side, throwing him into a sideways roll across the ground, then pounced on Blood's back and tore viciously at his scruff.

Sapphire followed Markus but stopped when she saw Markus, Cheyanne, Zasshu, and Shinso attack Choker, Blood, and Rip.

Cheyanne grabbed Choker's scruff and tossed her across the snow covered ground. Choker quickly stood and lunged at the female, who again grabbed the gray wolf's scruff and through her down.

"I did nothing!" Rip lowered his ears. "I swear!"

Blood lifted himself and fell backwards onto Zasshu. "Get off!"

Sapphire looked away before she lost her lunch. But the sound and smell of the wolves fighting was still enough to make her insides turn.
