| Edited title. Believe it or not, in Aleu's name, 'u' comes before 'e'. |

I hate her! She over-exaggerates, is super dramatic when there's no need to be ad her voice is sooo annoying! Plus, my favorite character was Balto and she hated him for like half the movie!

"GAH! heck no, who the heck doesnt know who they are?"
--> LOL ! Actually the question about identity was the only thing that made me like the movie. Though I think Aleu never learned who she was, she was still a thing at the end (a wolf). Those who think they know who they are should reflect more upon this question because it's not as easy as it seems.
I used to like her, just as I used to like every single teenage stereotype because I could find myself in her, even though I wasn't entirely like her. Now, I must say I like those stereotypes because of the story they have, they are idiots/stupid teenagers at first and become wiser at the end. It's cool because it gives teenagers an example of what life really is.
At first, you are totally against your parents for some reason : -You want to live your own life before you even mature enough to do so (Lady and The Tramp 2) -You don't agree with their traditions or the rules (The Lion King 2 - Lady and The Tramp 2) -They concealed something important about their origin like : being adopted, etc (Balto 2)
In LATT2, Scamp basically learned that living on your own isn't that easy and that freedom isn't always where we think it is. He also learned that you shouldn't judge a book on its cover and how to avoid bad friendship.
Kiara learned to accept her destiny and that the past of someone or the look they have don't make them less human (or in her case, lion) than the other. In a way, it's about racism, but she's lucky enough not to be an outcast and teach it to the others.
Balto 2: Before learning about her origins, Aleu was a child. She acted like a pup, loved to play, tried to become friend with everyone and didn't understand why her father stopped her. She only wished to be happy. Then, she learns that she is part wolf and that people won't like her because of her look. She looses all her bearings and her dreams. She realizes violently how the world is toward dogs who look like her. In a way, she becomes an exile, she needs time to grow up alone, to think and to learn more about the world she lives in.
It's also about racism, but this time it's about being an hybrid (you can see how the story can apply to human beings) and not finding a place in a world that separate two kind of people, rejected one.
But unlike Kiara (and her father in the first movie), she never helps people understanding that "they are one" and she comes back to her "origins".
And I like her because she shows the difficulties of "being different" (whatever difference we're talking about) and finding a place in the world, but also of dealing with one's difference.
