I voted for Both
As always, I love the first one.
But like Goddes sayed, the second movie was really good, compared to Balto 2 & 3

I voted for the First one. I'm the type that prefers originals over sequels. I also agree that the animation style was better than the sequel's style.

It's next to impossible to decide which is better. Yes the animation in the first movie was better, but the animation in the oringinal second to none, probably the best animation ever.
The first movie does have a much darker side and a more touching ending, makes me cry every time. But the second movie has that sentimental moment which suprisingly is a song I Will Always Be With You, which will be played at my funeral (knock on wood). I know I can't decide both are great in many different ways the movies will always be with me.

I liked ADGTH2 better. I didn't like all the singing that was involved, but the rest was good. I didnt like the girl in the first one, she annoyed me.

Seeing that I have not watched the second one, I am going for the first film.

I liked the second one best. Most of the things in the first that SERIOUSLY affected my feelings toward it were pretty much fixed in the second.

I would have to say the first movie back in 1989 when Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise portrayed Charlie and Itchy respectively before Burt retired and Charlie Sheen took over as Charlie Barkin in the sequel years later. Burt and Dom passed away years later from cancer that took them away into the afterlife where I bet or predict they are hanging out with their animated talking canine counterparts having a ball so to speak along with Annabelle the angel whippet who was also my #1 character of heaven that is.
November 10, 2019 is the 30th Anniversary of "All Dogs Go to Heaven" in which a new animated series "Charlie Barkin's New Heavenly Adventures" will debut on the Cartoon Network and Hub Network which is a reboot of "All Dogs Go to Heaven the Series" in case no one knows about this except for me. It's where Charlie, Itchy, Sasha, Bess, Flo, David, Anne Marie have fun all over Earth including visiting the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts too while the evil trio of Red the Devil cat, Belladonna the witch whippet and Hell-Hound from ADGTH try making life miserable for our friends.
My name is Space Ace, the character of the Don Bluth laser-disc animated videogame "SPACE ACE"
