Moto watched them converse until he turned to Asali. "We should alert the king to this," he said, sheathing his claws. His tail swung behind him as he considered the options: either go back and alert the king, or patrol. Due to having two lions and a hyena, he knew he was outnumbered, and decided to go back with Asali and the cubs.

Asali came up beside him leaning into his side "this is what the little ones must have been talking about" she said her voice low so the cubs wouldn't hear

"Hm. Perhaps," he said. He flicked his ears. "Alright, let's all head back. No use in staying out here much longer just waiting for them to come back," he added sternly, straightening up. "Asali, once we get back, we will report immediately to the king, okay?" he asked, turning to her.

"I Don't see the point in not telling him" Asali said a worried tone in her voice "this has me worried if they have no problem attacking children it worries me" she added leaning futher into his side and nuzzling her face into his mane

Moto raised a paw, feeling slightly uncomfortable with her being so close. He sidestepped to move away. "Right. You gather the cubs. I'll keep an eye out and make sure they don't attack us on the way back," he spoke firmly, narrowing his eyes as he raised his head to look around.

Asali stared at him for a moment before nodding and turning her attention to koman and the other cubs "come along little ones" she said her voice taking on a gentle tone

"I think it might have something to do with being the leader of the Lion Guard, at least, I think that was what King Mufasa said," said Koman. "And thank you for coming and helping us Moto and Asali. We'd better go and speak to dad now."

"These aren't all my drawings, Kella," said Tafari. "Some belong to a lion called Kabili who was sent here to recover from a horrible illness. I decided to extend the stories a bit more. Would you like to pick a picture for me to describe to you?"

"Oh, yes," Kella nodded. "I want to know more about the Pride Lands." She looked at a picture of two lions. There was a brown one and a lighter, almost white, one. "What's this one?" She asked. "The one lion looks a bit like Maliha's sister Radhi."

"I think you may be getting confused, Kella, but you're new here so that is understandable," said Tafari. "That is indeed Radhi, but Radhi is Maliha's cousin, not her sister. Alika is her sister, but I must admit they look very similar."
"It was an easy mistake to make, so don't worry."
"This image is of Radhi and myself, when we were cubs. I'd given her a blue flower that she wore behind her ear and then we played tag. I want to remember that moment forever because it was special to me."
"Hey, Tafari, why don't you paint the moment the new Lion Guard is assembled?"
"The King and Queen have already been down to ask me, Maliha, but I will paint it in the special Lion Guard cave, not this one. I do, however, have a bit of time to spare. Would you like a painting?"
"Why don't you paint Kella and Kani meeting up for the first time in the grasslands? You'd like that, wouldn't you, guys?"

"Oh, yes," Kella said, blushing slightly. "It was probably one of the best moments of my life, because meeting Kani was something I had wanted to do since I was a cub. And it's nice to meet some lions who are actually nice to me." She smiled at Maliha, Kani and Tafari. "I didn't expect Pridelanders to be so nice."

"I guess the Lion Guard will be useful now, won't it?" Tawia smiled.

"Thanks, Kella," said Tafari. "We learnt over the past generations that kindness is the way forward and that we shouldn't ever judge someone before getting to know them. We learnt that lesson from King Kovu."

Kella raised her eyebrows. "King who? Isn't Taji the king?" She asked.

"Taji is the current King, but there have been many Kings previously," said Tafari. "I could tell you all about them as we stargaze tonight."
"You're inviting us stargazing?" asked Maliha.
"Of course! There isn't a better way to speak about the history of the pride except for sitting below the Kings of the Past."

Kella smiled. "That's wonderful! It will be nice to know a lot more about the history of the Pride Lands. It's been years since I last stargazed. The last time I did was with my father..." Kella frowned as she thought about her father, but then smiled again. "What other great places are in the Pride Lands, Maliha?"

"I'll show you to the Outlands!"
"Then let me come too," came a voice hidden behind a rock in the cave.
"Alika? Is that you, sister?"
"Of course it is," Alika said. "Who else would it be?"
Alika nuzzled her sister.
"You must be Kella," she said to the young lioness in front of her. "I'm Alika, Maliha's sister, and I'll come with you to make sure she doesn't lead you into any trouble."
"Relax, Alika, the Outlands have been part of the Pridelands since King Zuberi's reign. No-one lives there anymore, except for a few gazelle herds, zebra herds, porcupines, butterflies, bees..."
"Yes, okay I get the picture. Let's just be wary. I heard a commotion a while back involving some of the cubs."
"I'll lead the way! Follow me!"
