Once the pizza got there, Marshall paid in cash and tipped the delivery dude, and after the delivery dude left Marshall set three large pizza boxes on Murr's kitchen counter. Two large pepperoni pizzas, and one large meat-lovers pizza, along with a few small tubs of garlic sauce and some bread sticks.

"Let's dig in, m' friend." Marshall said cheerfully to Murr.

After the delicious pizza, Murr sat on a stool at the counter. "You know, If you want Cheyanne, its cool with me."Murr said smiling. "I mean, not that I don't like her its just, maybe I'm better off with someone else. "

Marshall considered it to himself for a minute, but then shook his head.

"Why don't we let her decide?" he suggested. "That's the only fair way. Even if you think you might be better off with someone else, what if she picks you? Would you still think that? I don't think you're being honest with yourself."

Marshall sighed, then stretched out his arms, legs, and paws tiredly, showing his fangs in a huge yawn.

"I think I'm gonna head home dude. We'll just let Cheyanne decide this. I have a plan, and I'll talk to Cheyanne about it. For now, you should get some rest."

Marshall fist-bumped Murr's shoulder on his way out the door.

"Night, bro." he said, the headed home for the night.

The next day, Marshall was sitting in his living room playing chess with his uncle Mike. Marshall had played chess countless times with his uncle, and to this day had never beaten him. However, today he was determined to finally bring his uncle's chess reign to an end.

While he battled his uncle, Marshall sent Cheyanne a text, which read:

Hey Chey, want to hang out at my place later this afternoon?

Marshall set his phone aside, continuing the chess game with Uncle Mike while he waited for Cheyanne to reply.

"I'm gonna get ya, old man." Marshall said to his uncle.

"Like hell you will, little nephew." Uncle Mike laughed.

Cheyanne got his text a little while after Moki had left. 'Sure, be right over' she texted

Marshall read Cheyanne's text, and smiled to himself. Then he moved another piece on the chess board.

"Check mate." Marshall said triumphantly. Uncle Mike's jaw dropped. He couldn't believe it.

Cheyanne drove over to Marshall's, and parked her truck in the driveway. Cheyanne walked to the door and put her keys in her pocket. She knocked on the door and waited for Marshall to answer the door. She was wearing white tanktop with blue jean shorts.

Marshall left his uncle to wallow in his loser sorrow and walked to the door and answered it. He saw Cheyanne on the other side, and gave her a toothy smile, a few fangs showing.

"C'mon in." he said, stepping aside and allowing Cheyanne to enter. He watched her walk by him and into the house, and took her by the paw and took her to the living room.

Cheyanne sat on the couch and smiled at Mike. "Hey, old Mike. How's it going'?"

"Oh nothin'," Mike answered. "Just beat Marshall at another game of chess is all."

"You liar!" Marshall glowered. "I just whipped your ***, and you know it."

"Watch it, boy. You got lucky."

"Whatever." Marshall rolled his eyes. "Sore loser."

"It's about time you beat him, Marsh." Elizabeth said. "It only took you like, what? Forever?"

"At least I beat him. Finally." Marshall huffed.

"Congrats, nephew. But you won't best me again." Mike said, then got up and left the room, patting Marshall on the shoulder on his way out.

Elizabeth threw a paperclip at Marshall for no apparent reason.

"Really? Was that necessary?" Marshall asked, not amused.

"Yes, yes it was." Elizabeth answered with a satisfied smirk, then left the room as well.

Marshall rolled his eyes, and turned to Cheyanne.

Marshall set his paw down next to Cheyanne's, though not on top of hers, since the last time he did that brought bad results. He flicked his ears cautiously, then scooted a little closer to her.

"Thanks for comin', Chey." he said with a warm smile.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. I went to Borger today, and on the way home the cop flashed his lights at me making me pull over........ Just so he could pass me. That a -hole......



"Sure, no problem." Cheyanne said after laughing at both Mike and Elizabeth.
