Following it’s successful release in November 2008, Bolt was nominated a number of accolades. This included an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature (Walt Disney Animation Studio’s first nomination of that award since 2003’s Brother Bear), but lost to Pixar's WALL-E. In the end however, it only won one award, which was an ASCAP Award for John Powell's musical score on the film, as well as his music for Horton Hears a Who!, Hancock, and Jumper.
