Oh I have absolutely no doubt you guys love her implicitly, as with all your dogs. And Aussies (mini or standard) have a way of just endearing themselves supremely.

I tried electric collar training once...for a very short time. And, when I was in a class, and was using it with my male, the sad look he gave me made me feel like I had betrayed his trust. I stopped using it immediately. The jerk who ran the school (a former cop) absolutely refused to refund my money, even though I wasn't in it that long. But I never ever used one again. And never had to. I felt horrible when I used it on my dog. Even though I know there are certain dogs, and especially certain BREEDS, for which an electric collar is often necessary, when still used humanely.

She may get better as she gets older. But she'll need formal training. My dogs are pretty good. My girl, even if she goes tearing off after a rabbit or a deer or something, will come immediately when I give her a recall command. Which can save her life in many cases. And, like my late male, sticks to my side like glue.

Well it's all about knowing what you're in for when you get Aussies...and what responsibilities you have. If you do, then it's pretty easy. I always kept mine (and still keep my female) pretty entertained and engaged. Though she has plenty of down time too.

Maybe, and is that a problem?
