Likes: Going on flights with Crookleg and his wife Juniper, helping where he can in the village and being useful and fishing. 

Dislikes: Feeling useless, arguing with his stubborn teenage son and having to clean up after Crookleg and his son's dragon Darkfire. 

Personality: Corwin is a man of many talents and often likes to make himself useful where he can. He is stubborn and hard-headed and often it's hard to get through that thick skull of his or make him change his mind on something he is set on. He is a family man and loves his wife and children dearly but often gets into arguements with Eric, his seventeen year old son. Although once upon a time Corwin used to hate dragons, he has formed a strong bond with his changewing, Crookleg. In his youth he was arrogant and drove himself to his limits to prove himself, but after being beaten in a tournament by Stoick and losing his popularity he soon learned some humility. 

History: When Corwin was born he was a fighter right from the start. He started talking earlier than most and started crawling earlier than most. He even threw his first dagger at the age of two. His parents couldn't be more proud of their "viking through-and-through" son and always gave him everything he wanted. This caused the boy to become a bit spoilt (heh, that's an understatement). During his childhood Corwin was popular among Berk's other children and prided himself on his strength and endurance. He hated dragons with a passion and killed his first dragon, a monstrous nightmare, at the age of sixteen. By the time he reached the age of twenty, Berk held a viking tournament for a bit of sport and Corwin along with several other young vikings entered without hesitation. He was arrogant, and believed that he could win it hands down. He almost did too, but was defeated by Stoick. For a time his popularity went down and he became frustrated, often looking elsewhere to vent his anger. While out in the forest he came across a cave, guarded by a changewing. The changewing attacked him when it saw his axe, and Corwin managed to kill the beast only to find that the cave wasn't empty. In it was a single egg, and it looked to have been damaged slightly in the fight. Immediately overcome with guilt for killing an unborn innocent's mother, Corwin took the egg and hid it in his home. He promised himself that he would get rid of the baby dragon once it hatched, after all the village was hostile towards the creatures. Over the course of the next few months Corwin waited impatiently for the egg to hatch but once it did, he found that he did not have the heart to abandon what emerged. The small changewing hatchling had a crooked leg and appeared unable to walk properly. Corwin knew it wouldn't survive on it's own. He dubbed the hatchling 'Crookleg', quite an original name if he did say so himself. Corwin grew attached to the baby dragon, and raised it in secret in his house. He formed a bond with Crookleg, and taking care of the dragon taught him that not all dragons were bad and it also taught him some humility. Corwin went to Stoick himself and offered an apology, as well as his friendship and the two became friends, causing him to regain the friends he had previously lost to arrogance. He fell in love with Juniper Alberg, a beautiful young woman who soon returned his feelings. They married the next spring and in that time Corwin explained to her all about Crookleg. By the time they were wed Crookleg was beginning to get too big to go unnoticed and so Corwin hid him in the cave back in the forest, returning only to feed and spend time with the lame changewing. Corwin and Juniper were together for five years before they were blessed with a son, whom they called Eric. 

Corwin managed to keep Crookleg a secret until Stoick's son changed Berk for the better and dragons lived among them in peace. He brought Crookleg back to the house and built him a small stable of sorts, adding it as an attachment to the house. When Eric was 14 Corwin and Juniper had another child, this time a daughter, and named her Brenna after Juniper's mother. He was rather proud when Eric formed a friendship with his own dragon, a stormy grey deadly nadder who he named 'Darkfire'.

How This Character Is Related to The HTTYD Universe: Corwin was a good friend of Stoick and teaches at the dragon Acadamy with Crookleg. 

CREATOR'S NOTE:  Gaaah ;-; I can't draw humans at all. So don't expect bios of Juniper, Eric or Brenna for some time. I barely had enough patience to draw Corwin (anditstillsucks). Bios of Crookleg and Darkfire however, will be coming soon as I am a tad better at drawing dragons and other animals than I am at humans heh.
