Happy New Year, everyone! We've made it through a year of apocolypses, zombies, and gigantic mailboxes, and now it's time to usher in 2013. What better way to kick off a new year on Animation Source, than with the 2nd Annual Animation Source Choice Awards!

Last year's ASCAs were a huge success. Over 150 people voted in the event! The largest winner was Rio, which took home 11 awards, including Best Picture. This year, we have quite the list of nominees eligible for each award; over 20 animated films were released in 2012!
This year, we're doing thing a little different. Instead of all the votes being tallied by one person, I have asked for several people to help collect the votes. I will give you their names in a little bit, but first we need to go over the rules. (Which, be honest, should be the first thing people read no matter what the occasion.)
TO VOTE: You must PRIVATE MESSAGE (don't shout-out in the box, don't write on their profiles, and absolutely DO NOT comment on this news saying who you vote for) the Vote Counters (listed below) with your vote. You may vote once in each category in the period between January 1 and January 15, and then once again between January 16 and January 31. You are welcome to encourage others to vote, but you cannot vote more than twice yourself. And absolutely do NOT use multiple accounts to vote; we will be in close contact with the mods on this, and if it is found out you are using multiple accounts, all votes will be disqualified from said accounts.
ELIBILE FILMS: The only films that are eligible for any awards this year are those released in 2012. And the nominees are available for viewing below (scroll down a bit), so you have NO excuse to vote Balto for Best Picture. So don't.
So, now that that's out of the way, let's take a look at our nominees. (To view a nice, pretty version, click this link.)
[It appears that the list would be too long to really make any affect, so you can instead click this link to see the full list]
Now, here's where you have to pay close attention. When you vote in each category, you must send a PM to each individual Vote Counter. The Vote Counters are as follows:
Ancient Fairy Dragon - Best Original Screenplay, Best Voice Actor
Black Rose - Best Song, Best Animated Video Game
Blazetail - Best Director, Best Animated TV Series
Cloudtail - Best Sequel Screenplay, Best Non-Theatrical Film
Fluffenstuf - Film Most Likely to Receive a Sequel, Best non-English Film
Gums - Best Score, Best 3D Presentation
Paxis - Best Voice Actress, Best Animated Film Winner
Skulblaka_Shur'tugal - Best Picture, Fan Favorite
Vote Counters, remember that you get to vote as well, so when you PM me your results on January 15, be sure to include yourselves in the tallies.
And Graphic Designers, don't worry; I will get to you soon to tell you what you need to do.
That's it for now. Everyone, go out and get voting!
