I understand the controversy on the World Trade Center being in the backround, but this movie came out in 1988, the World Trade Center was a vital part of the New York City skyline at that time.

I think the backround should stay, it really resembles 1980s NYC. Believe me, my family knew someone on AA Flight 11, in the South Tower, and my very Uncle who was on W. Broadway who witnessed both of the tower's callpase. I myself have been to Ground Zero once so far and again next month (school trip) to pay my respects.

But I think the banner is great, it shows NYC as it was in 1988. That's like saying the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, Germany; which is a symbol of the city; was also the symbol of the city through both WWI, WWII, and during the Berlin Wall years, and still is a symbol today, despite the Gate's rough and emotional history in the past 100 years. Same with the World Trade Center, it's apart of NYC's history and was an international landmark during the 1980s.

Also I think it is important for those to remember NYC before the terrible disaster, to think about the city as it was. I dont think it's right to censor that. The World Trade Center was like the White House, Big Ben, the Effiel Tower, the Kremlin, everyone knew what those buildings where and everyone knew that, the Statue of Libery, and the Empire State Building where the three most recognizable parts of NYC, enpecially in 1988.

Raptor: I know you didn't mean anything by it. Still, being ganged up on is not something I take lightly. I've had really REALLY bad experiences with that kinda stuff and whenever it happens again I feel the bad parts all over again. It's not a big deal, I know you didn't mean anything by it. I personally think the graphics look great. There's nothing really wrong with the source. And what's the problem with making new sources? (Jace)

If you don't like the new sources, act like they're not there... it's better that way other people who weren't fans of Balto or the Lion King can come onto the site and enjoy it like we do/did.

all these "sources" seems a bit excessive to me. it was cool the first few times you guys did it, but this seems to be going a bit too far. sorry, but i feel like you guys have made your point, we really dont need a source for every film. if people want info on this stuff, make an archive.

If anyone gets upset or offended by the banner's location, just change it. Though I would say that it's pretty blurry (no offense meant) it just gives me a headache. As for everything else, it looks alright - while the color of the text does blend in to its background, making it harder to see (it's probably just my my monitor, but anyway). But if it will cause problems...then it might offend people. The whole 9/11 is a sensitive topic, I myself am not affected too much by it, but I know others who had family who died that day...

But I know a few members are trying to make a better banner, so I would not fret too much about it, because it might be replaced.

NYBF: I doubt just having the WTC in the banner is much of a problem. I hadn't actually noticed it, this is probably the case with most users. I think it's best that we only "act" if it actually begins to cause problems.
