Personality: Anastasia is a little timid about meeting new people. She prefers to be a follower rather than a leader, that way, the spotlight's never on her. Anastasia is a sweet heart and hates fighting. Anna would rather sit back and watch the other performers instead of being out in the ring, but she knows she has to get over her fear and participate in the shows since that's her job. She's kind of skittish and runs behind the closest person at any loud sound; she has taught herself not to run from the roar of the crowed or the elephants' trumpeting (but she still shivers at the sounds).

History: Despite her name and thick accent, Anastasia was born in Vatican City in Rome, Italy. Her mother was a borzoi and Russian ovcharka cross who had worked in the circus for all of her life; Anastasia's father was an American-born Aussie and a new recruit to the circus. He was assigned to the same boxcar as her mother resided in and she taught the male dog how to prefect the tricks his trainers had taught him. After a few months, the two became mates and had Anastasia.
As a puppy, her mother told Anastasia stories from her homeland, some were of her own experiences and others were fairy tales; her father told her all about the large sky scrappers of New York, the city where he was born, but Anastasia's parents would always tell her stories about their experiences of being circus dogs.
This is where Anastasia got the motivation to be a performance dog like her parents; everything went as planned until Anastasia was put up as the opening act. Out on that platform, in front of thousands of people, the young puppy immediately forgot her act and just stood there until the crowd booed at her and threw things at her. Embarrassed and shaken up, Anastasia ran backstage and weeped while the ring leader took care of the situation at hand.
After that, Anastasia refused to preform any more; not even the coaxing from her parents would make her go back out there. A few months later, her mother became very ill and couldn't participate in the circus's shows. Maxx, Anastasia's father, took his mate's and daughter's roles and in return, Anastasia would go backstage and visit her mother for him. The two talked whenever her mother felt like it, and when she couldn't any more, Anastasia would have a slightly one-sided conversation with her mother. Roksana would pleaded to her daughter to go back on stage and preform, but Anna refused. One night, right before she went to go tell her mother that she'd changed her mind, that she would go on with the stunts, Roksana passed away in her sleep.
Anastasia was extremely heart broken and canceled her plans for going back to preforming. Her father, having the caring heart that he did, asked his daughter if that was what she really wanted to, and told her that if that was, then he would still love her no matter what. Anastasia finally told her father that, inside, she still wanted to preform.
Afterwards, Anastasia refreshed her memory on her tricks and soon had them all down packed; she even found a way to concentrate on the task at hand, her tricks, and not about the crowd's eyes on her. Not too long after she had done some shows and helped the circus gain its popularity back, the Italian carnival moved all over Europe and, a few weeks before a performance in Paris, a small terrier and corgi mix happened to wonder into the circus and he was adopted by Anastasia's owner. She named the puppy Pickles, and he was to bunk with Anna in her kennel. At fist, Anastasia didn't like the fact that she was sharing a room with another, a boy nonetheless, but, after a few more weeks of living with Pickles, she became accustomed to his presence.
Finally, after months of hard work and performing, the circus arrived in America where they were to stay for two months before they moved back to Rome. One day, while all of the performers were resting, Anastasia was approached by a small group of five puppies, three of them looked like cocker spaniels, one was a pretty golden puppy, and the other was a gray male with a mustache; they all wore collars and seemed to be very interested in the other circus dogs. Anastasia, who was with Pickles at the moment, walked up to the group and asked if there was something she could help them with; that's when they all introduced themselves as Scamp, the gray one, Angel, the golden female, Annette, Collette, and Danielle were the three look-a-likes. It didn't take long for Pickles and Anna to befriend them all and give them tours of the circus.
Anna had no idea that Angel and Scamp were in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, and the young dog found herself falling for her new friend...unfortunately, Anna saw Scamp and Angel nuzzling after she had performed a series of ticks for them and their sisters (well, mostly for Scamp). Finally realizing that her friends were in a relationship, Anna fell quiet and refused to actually speak to them; Scamp had tried to corner her and get some sort of information from the circus dog, but Anastasia managed to run off. She only fled due to the fact that she might get into some trouble with Angel if she saw her and Scamp together.



Likes: Her life in the circus, bones, when the circus is able to move from place to place, when she gets free food or scrapings

Dislikes: When the spotlight's on her, large crowds (but she can somewhat tolerate them), when others bully or pick on her, she sort of dislikes the town she's in (same town Lady and Tramp live in)

Dreams: Of becoming a great circus dog like her mother and father

Regrets: Not coming earlier to visit her mother the night she passed away; falling for Scamp

Eye Color: Her scleras are a light yellow color and her

If rendering: Angel or Scamp's body is good, just keep in mind that she's a little taller than them and her ears and tail aren't like theirs.

Accessories: She's usually seen with a red ruffle around her neck; sometimes she'll have a red clown's nose on, but that's usually during performances

As My Character: I noticed that there were no circus-themed characters on this Source, and since circuses were a huge source of entertainment during the early 1900's, I thought it would be kinda cool to make a character who was related to history like that :3

Her Relation to the Lady and the Tramp Universe: The circus she works for is currently stationed in the same town as the Darlings live in, and her best friend, Pickles,  is a friend of Angel, Scamp, whom she had a crush on, Annette, Collette, and Danielle; also, those five often visit her when she and Pickles are off duty.
