Name: Cole
Nicknames: None
Name Meaning: It's of Greek origin meaning "victory of the people"
Sex: Male
Age: Varies on use, but I'm gonna say he's Scamp's age
Breed: He's a mutt, but he has some Lhasa Apso from his mother's side
Personality: Cole is a very sly character with a heart of slightly tainted gold. The little pup is very mischivious, but he is as clever as a fox; kind of easy-going, but get him angry, he'll swear that you will pay. Cole is tough. He hates when others lie to him for no reason. House Pets are another thing that he hates because they tease other strays and think that they are so much better then them. Cole has only one true friend, and that is Oakly. He hates that his older brother, Kandas, holds a grudge against him because he can't see the light: their parents love them equally; even Cole can see that, and he's not even part of their family. Cole is street smart and quick to learn ways to protect himself from harm, all thanks to his parents, especially Toughy. Cole is always ready to play and doesn't have to already know you; you just have to have a sense of adventure like himself to really catch his attention.
Parents: Toughy and Peg
Siblings: Angel and Bunny (half siblings)
Crush: He won't tell, but he's head over heels for her, even at such an early age. He's very determined to get her to like him back.
Crushers: (Open, just ask/PM me)
Mate: (It will be who he has a crush on)
Puppies: Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope....
Friends: His best friend is Oakly
Enemies: No one. I don't think he'll have enemies anytime soon, but he and Kandas are not, and probably never will be, on good terms with each other.
History: Both Peg and Toughy were adopted from the pound not to long after Lady was reunited with her owners. They were both given to a nice little family, a pair of newly weds, who lived in the next neighborhood over. The house was a farm, and it was located halfway into the city and halfway in the rural countryside.
It didn't take long for Peg and Toughy to have feelings for each other and Peg soon found herself pregnant with her mate's puppy. She was expecting to have a full litter, at least three or four pups, but one was good enough for her.
It was the beginning of summer when she gave birth to a scruffy puppy whom she and Toughy agreed on naming Cole.
Unfortunately for him, however, Cole was born without a complete left hind leg, but that didn't stop the young dog from getting into everything- and everywhere- he could.
Cole loved it on the farm; there were plenty of chickens to chase and frogs to catch. He loved going down and adventuring at his neighbor's lake every day he could. His mother worried herself sick one time when he fell into the lake. Cole was an excellent swimmer naturally and picked up a few more pointers from his father, but Peg still warned him not to go over there.
Eventually Cole got tired of hiding from his mother to get to the pond without being seen, so instead he started venturing out to a neighboring farm a few miles down the dirt road from his house. This small farm raised chickens and did Cole love to chase chickens! But there was sort of a catch: that farm was only a few miles away from the pound, and since Cole didn't wear a collar, he knew that there was the chance that he might wind up there due to terrorizing chickens.
Cole dismissed the idea and dug a hole under the wire fence. The young dog slid under the fence and began to creep toward the chicken coop. Once inside, he could hardly control his excitement and was shaking all over as he barked loudly, awaking the chickens in the coop. Cole laughed out loud at the fowls' reaction and chased them around the pin until a great number of them ran outside and he followed them there, too. After a few more moments of running after a bunch of feathers, Cole dashed back into the coop and scooped up a few eggs, rewarding himself with a snack, and ran back outside. Just as his front paws hit the ramp leading up to the coop's entrance, the spot right in front of him burst into a million of wooden shards. Cole didn't even give time for the shock of the blast to sink in; the dog hopped off the side and ran to the hole he dug under the fence. Cole was able to squeeze under the fence and get a few feet away when another blast sounded behind him; he dared not look back and kept running full speed until he was sure he was more than a few miles away from the farm.
Sitting down, Cole realized that he had crushed the eggs and the yolk had dried up in his mouth. The shells had obviously cut the inside of his mouth because he was bleeding, too. The metallic taste of blood mixed with the egg yolk made Cole sick to his stomach, but he fought nausea and took a look around the area he was in: there were large, fenced-in yards surrounding gigantic houses, and the light posts were fenced-in as well, much to Cole's dismay.
He decided to walk around the place and discovered that the area he was in was called Snob Hill. Cole stuck his tongue out in disgust; his parents had both been House Pets on Snob Hill before they were abandoned and thrown into the pound. Both had told him about the fancy lives of the House Pets up there, and Cole always grew tired of hearing about them, how the House Pets thought that they were so much better than stray dogs.
After an hour of walking around, Cole saw a small brownish colored puppy lying by the fence that was closest to the sidewalk where he was walking at. The other puppy had a sad look upon his face, and Cole couldn't help but to ask what was wrong.
When the puppy told him that his older brother, named Kandas, thought that their mother and father hated him and blamed everything on him. Oakly, that was his name, finished telling Cole that, and Cole felt his temper flare up; he agreed with Oakly, that their parents didn't hate Kandas, and called his brother stupid for blaming Oakly. The brown puppy told him not to say that and Cole apologized and asked if Oakly wanted to run wild with him, to play on the streets.
It took a while to coax the timid puppy out from the comfort of his yard and out from the hole Cole had dug in the soft dirt under the fence. After they had chased some cats and birds around the streets, before it started getting dark and they had to depart, but not before promising to hang out again the next day.
Oakly and Cole became really close friends and since neither had siblings, they were as close as brothers could get. Technically, Oakly had an older brother, but he lived on the streets, and Cole was an only child.
Soon Oakly took Cole to an alleyway where there was an abandoned train station; there he saw an entire gang of puppies a little younger than himself. They seemed to welcome him almost immediately, except for two puppies: one with a scar and a teal collar, her name was Owl, and Kandas, Oakly's older brother. But just because the other pack members liked Cole, that didn't mean he liked them back. The young puppy could find something wrong with every single one of the gang members and left Oakly with them to go off and have some fun.
Later on, Oakly found him walking toward Snob Hill. He stopped him and Cole asked what happened; he thought that he was having fun with his "other friends", but Oakly told him the truth; he said that Kandas had ran him out of the alleyway. Again.
It then occurred to Cole that Oakly didn't really have any friends at all, well, if you counted Cross, that'll be one...
In the end, Cole apologized for running off on Oakly, and his friend accepted his apology. They became inseparable by their friendship and soon, Cole learned to deal with Kandas' attitude directed not only to Oakly and some of the other gang members, but to him as well. He also forced himself to cope with the fact that Oakly had a thing for Cross and that, if they were to become mates at all, he'd be spending less time with his best friend.
Likes: His parents, Oakly, the rain and mud, being dirty, scary stories (especially the ones about witch hunts), going "witch hunting" himself, meeting new dogs, his friends, scaring others, chasing chickens and frogs, playing down at the pond, adventuring and climbing on the roofs
Dislikes: Having flees, when his mother makes him clean up, eating dinner at their house, being a House Pet (but living with a family has it's advantages, too), dark and abandoned areas, when he's not allowed to leave the yard, Cross and Kandas, the fact that if Oakly and Cross become mates, he won't see his best friend often, T.P's gang, and Snob Hill
Hates: Taking baths. And cats. Cole hates cats. Si and Am, yes, but he especially hates the five farm cats who steal his meals from him. Cole also hates that Cross is slowly stealing his best friend away from him.
Fur Color: A very light tint of his father's fur
Marking Colors: A pale version of Peg's markings
Eye Color: Blue
Status: Owned, but doesn't have a collar
Voice/Accent: N/A
Trivia
-He doesn't have a collar, but when he's a little older, Cole will wear a rope tied loosely around his neck
Relation to Lady and the Tramp's Universe: He is the son of Roughy and Peg and lives a few miles down from the same farm that Tramp coxed Lady into chasing chickens at.
