Okay this is my first article so don't be to hard on me if you don't agree. I'm not sure if any of you have ever noticed but the song " My Lullaby" ( The reason I underlined "My" is because I am trying to show you everything in this song that's about Zira) is supposed to be all about Kovu taking over Pride Rock, when really it's all about Zira.

     Here listen to all this stuff about Zira... " I've been exiled, persecuted. Left alone with no defense. When I think of what that brute did. I get a little tense." sung by Zira. Or... " But I dream a dream so pretty. That I don't feel so depressed. 'Cause it soothes my inner kitty. And it helps me get some rest." again sung by Zira. And... " Now the past I've tried forgetting. And my foes I could forgive. Trouble is, I knows it's petty. But I hate to let them live." Those are only a few. Even the title "My Lullaby"!

     Here are the only two lines that are about Kovu... There is the course " Sleep, my little Kovu. Let your dreams take wing. One day when you're big and strong. You will be a king!". Then the next line sung obnoxiously by Nuka... " Sleep, ya little termite! Uh-- I mean, precious little thing!"

A lot of things in The Lion King 2 is just the liosn tellign their kids (Okay, okay, the CUBS) their opinions. What? it isn't? OH YEAH?! Didn't Simba and Zazu tell Kiara that outsiders were "Back-stabbing and murderous"? Well, that was just their opinion. So there. HA. However, you don't have to che on that.

Why didn't I notice that?! I am probrably the biggest TLK fan EVER! That is a good point, though. I mean, also look at 'teh thrill of Kovu's mighty roar'. you may not agree with me but isn't that just Zira's opinion? As I said, you don't have to agree. But, yes, that is a great point.

I already did, and I do agree with it. I mean almost all songs in TLK2 have equivalent in first TLK, but this one is most obvious. I noticed it before I even read that article, just never mentioned it.

Agreed, great article. "My Lullaby" was more to outline Ziras plot to kill Simba and how proud it would make her, also to show her hate for Simba. This song is suppose to be equivalent to "Be Prepared" song from first TLK, has even some similarities in scenes between them.
