Relation to the Lion King: Daughter of Kopa and Vitani

Dafina was the oldest cub of Kopa and Vitani, although she was younger than Chimalsi, Kovu and Kiara’s cub.

Chimalsi fancied Dafina for ages, but Dafina didn’t love him in return. She wanted someone else. Then her brother Kabili was born along with Wema, the sister of Chimalsi. They all became very good friends.

One day, when they were out playing in the Pridelands, a young rogue cub came out of the grass and they accepted him into their game. His name was Ajali and he made Dafina’s heart skip, even at that young age. She asked him back to Pride Rock. When he returned from asking his parents whether he could go she noticed something was wrong and felt sympathetic towards him when he told her what happened.

Ajali was allowed to stay at Pride Rock and Dafina wanted to spend all day, every day with him. However, Chimalsi became jealous of Ajali, so in order not to put him in danger, Dafina only saw him at night.

They liked stargazing together.

When she became a teen, Dafina became preoccupied with hunting and fighting. She learnt hunting from Nala and Kiara, whilst she learnt fighting from Simba, Kovu and Vitani. Vitani was a very good teacher. Kopa, meanwhile, entertained her with stories of his past and tales of the future.

She still saw Ajali, but less frequently.

One night, she was about to set off to the stargazing spot when Ajali came back with a white lioness he introduced as Nabii. He requested to see Chimalsi and Dafina felt worried and hurt. What if Ajali was going to say to Chimalsi that he had found a new mate?! Luckily, Ajali came out of the cave and went over to her and licked her.

Chimalsi became friendlier towards Ajali and Dafina as the days went on. He had become mates with Nabii, whilst Kabili and Wema had got together.

Life was perfect.
