Personality: Personality: She's a very independent lioness. She hates being told what to do, and is very spiteful. Stubborn and  fiesty, she isn't afraid to stand up for herself or others. She tends to go her own way, not following orders even if her life depended on it. She can get angry easily, especially if she is being pestered about something. But, underneath all that somewhere, is the over protective older sister, with a caring disposition and loving demeanor like a mother's. When she's mad at someone, she really shows it, often snapping at others and being in a bad mood. She isn't the friendliest lioness around, but you can warm up to her if you try.

History: When Simba became king, he chose Nala as his queen. What he didn't know is that Nala had a small fling before going off to find Simba, resulting in her getting pregnant. But, Simba didn't know, and Nala also became pregnant by Simba. When she gave birth to Kopa, Fluffy, and Desta, it was clear that Desta was not Simba's. Desta's father, hearing about the cub and how Nala loved someone else, stole Desta, thinking she wouldn't be loved. She began to live as a rogue with her father and older sister Sauda, who had a great dislike for her. Her sister was in charge of teaching her how to hunt when their father went off, and Sauda always caused her to mess up. Since she had no mother to teach her to be calm, and with an older sister who hated her, Desta became a very rebellious lioness, with a sharp demeanor. There grew a rivalry between the two, and when Sauda finally left, it was over.

 Later on, her father impregnated another lioness, who died giving birth to three male cubs. He tried his best to keep them alive, looking after them as best he could. She greatly loved them, and was always looking after them when her father was gone. After a while, she couldn't take it anymore with her father telling her what to do, so she ran away, going to the Pridelands where she met Hakim. After playing with him for a day, she found a cave, and lived there. She never told Hakim or her other friends of her past, or that she was alone. She stayed away from Priderock, as she had heard stories from her father about her traitorous mother who had 'abandonded' her so she wouldn't get thrown out. She stayed in the cave, her existence barely acknowledged.
