Personality: She is rather shy at first glance but once you get to know her she is rather bold to say the least. Etana is a kind girl who wishes to become more then she is. Though she sets herself off as a shy and probably weak girl don't let her personality alone fool you she is far more then meets the eye. Etana inside is a strong willed lioness with a lot of fight in her heart. She isn't one to give up easily even if all hope seems lost she tends to fight to the end. Though she acts like a hard worker she has her moments when she just wishes to lean back and have some fun from time to time. She can also be called stubborn but all in all she's not so bad once you get to know the real Etana.

History: Before Kovu ended up as king of the pride lands, Zira encouraged him to take a mate to make a great future heir. Before he fell in love with Kiara he made friends with a rogue lioness. They got close and things happened. Once the war happened and all lionesses we're welcomed bcak to Simba's pride everyone rejoiced. All accept one lioness who left without the knowledge of any including Kovu. She travelled far away from the pride lands to a pride in the mountains where she raised her and Kovu's daughter Etana. Her name was given to her because she had the strength to stay alive through such a harsh journey. Etana was a cub who wasn't love by all though, far from it. Due to her dark pelt and those in the mountains had such a light pelt many looked to her as a bad omen. So she left when she was of age. Her mother told her of a father she had  back in a place called the pride lands so that's where she went. 

It took many days but when she had reached the land she had heard that her father was now king. So by rights that partly made her a princess. Didn't it. So when she arrived many thought her strange and lost to be precise. But upon taking note of the dorsal stripe on her head and her pelt. They had already known who she was by her eyes, at least the outlanders knew who she was. She was the daughter of a friend, a family member perhaps but they weren't sure who. So when she came face to face with Kovu she told him that she was his daughter and at first Kovu thought it was some sort of cruel joke but she spoke of her mother's name and Etana was welcomed though Kiara wasn't as kind to welcome her here. When Kovu explained that his mother had forced him it made Kiara feel a little better but made Etana feel worse. 

From what her mother had told her, Etana was made out of love perhaps it was all a lie. It broke Etana's heart to even think know that much but she accepted the truth as horrid and awful as it was. It was then she met a young lion named Ngosi. He was a bit sour at first but surely welcomed her into the pride. Etana wasn't feeling so welcomed at the moment but figured why not at least let him try and try in return. So she did, they walked around the pride getting to know the other cubs and lionesses as well as eachother. Etana also had a soft spot for children preferably the small ones or the runts. During the time they spent together whether it was watching cubs or watching over the land they grew closer. Etana found herself no longer regretting the fact that she was there now like she had a while ago. Now she was happy, happy to have found someone who wanted to get to know her and happy that she didn't feel so alone anymore. With Ngosi she felt so much happier. She wished it would stay this way if not get better, become something more later on down the road.

Relation to TLK: Is the daughter of Kovu and a unknown lioness. Grows feelings for Ngosi who is the son of Kiara and Tanglemane.
