Personality: True to her name, she is usually joyful and full of happiness. She is curious, adventurous, and loves to discover new things. She has a motherly side, and tends to be a bit over protective of cubs because of her past. She can sometimes be shy, and is wary of strangers. She will go out of her way to help someone, but knows when to back off. She loves to hunt, but isn't very good at hunting.

Pride: Simba's Pride

History: Some scientists in Africa got together to help solve the problem of tigers becoming endangered. They had a few breeding pairs of tigers, but it wasn't enough. One had an idea of breeding a white female tiger with a male African lion. They had two cubs, but one was too weak to survive. Desperate, they saved the remaining cub by bottle feeding her to give her extra strength. Feeling that they had failed, they sent the female off to another place to meet a male tiger and have cubs with him. Thinking the cub looked more lion than tiger, they released her and her father into the jungle, hoping her father would take care of her. Instead, he left to find some other female lions, leaving her all alone. Unable to hunt for herself, she would have died until a female lioness found her and took her in. The lioness was on her own, since the pride she had been in cast her out since they couldn't find enough food. She named her Furaha for all the joy and happiness that she had when she found the cub. She cared for her and raised her, but was soon feeling like she couldn't provide enough food for them both.

She had heard that one pride was welcoming other lions, and she remembered watching the new heir being presented to the sky. She met with Mufasa, and after pleading for a little while, she and Furaha were welcomed into the pride. She met Simba and Nala, and became instant best friends with them. But some of the other cubs made fun of her for looking different. Nala tried to stand up for her the best she could, but it wasn't enough. Then, Malka stood up for her. He was different too, with black ear tufts and a brown tail. They soon stopped picking on her, and she was forever grateful to Malka. When Mufasa learned that Simba was in a stampede, he left, leaving Furaha not even knowing about it. When Scar announced Simba and Mufasa had died, she tried to comfort the sad Nala.

When she was old enough, Nala, Kula, Tama, and her learned how to hunt side by side. She tried her best, but always ended up with nothing. She watched as her once beautiful home spiraled into chaos, and the food ran dry. Malka, Chumvi, and Tojo were exiled, and her other friends were impregnated by Scar to provide heirs, however Furaha didn't recieve cubs, as he believed her blood to be bad. Nala, Tama, Kula, and the lionesses were her only comfort. Soon, they were full grown adults. Nala insisted on going farther a field to find food, and wouldn't let anyone hold her back. Furaha wanted to go with her, but Tama assured her that Nala was fine on her own. She still wasn't convinced, but went back to searching for food with Sarabi. When they came back a few days later, she was horrified that Nala hadn't returned, and even more so when Scar smacked Sarabi. She froze in horror when she saw a young Mufasa show up, learning later that it was Simba. While Simba and Scar were fighting, she fought off the hyenas, but a few managed to get through.

When Simba became the new ruler, she was overjoyed when the foliage grew back, and the food returned. She watched Fluffy be presented, and was glad when Kopa was born. At the same time that Nala was pregnant with Kiara, Malka came back, they became mates, and soon, Furaha was pregnant with her first litter. When Kiara was born, she watched over her when Nala went hunting with the other lionesses. Her cubs were best friends with Kiara, and she was happy. She saw Kiara as a niece, and cared for her like one. She taught Kiara to never judge any lion by their looks, which led her to Kovu. When Kiara was a yearling, she tried to teach her how to hunt, but gave up and handed the reins to Nala. She taught her to be loving and caring, the ultimate mother. At first, she didn't approve of Kovu, since she knew he was an Outlander. But, she soon realized that it was true love, and accepted him. When Simba exiled him, she was horrified, but learned to listen to Simba since he knew what he was doing. When the fight with the Outlanders arrived, she kept her cubs at home, and went to battle. She was slightly scarred, but they healed.

She was happy that Zira was dead, but didn't feel right celebrating the death of any lion. She became like sisters with Vitani, and tried not to mention her mother Zira, to not bring her to tears or hatred. She and Malka were always together, but not when around Vitani, so as not to make her sad that she had no mate. When she had her second litter of cubs, one reached out ot Vitani, and became her adopted daughter. Now, wherever Vitani goes, her daughter is right by her side, comforting her in crisis, and playing with her in happy times. When Simba finally accepted Kovu, she was happy, and glad that her cubs could explore without being taken away.
