Personality: Hondo is a quiet and closed guy, who barely talks to anyone except the ones he truly trusts. He is distant and it's not easy to get close to him, he's very careful about who he lets near him or his son. All though he does have this other side, one that is soft, and gentle and loving, but this side he pretty much only shows to Jamal, and maybe someone else who deserves it. Hondo is an excellent fighter, but only uses these skills to hunting, or defening himself or his son. He is extremely protective towards Jamal, and is even ready to give his life for him, for he is the only thing Hondo has left.

History: Hondo was abandoned by his parents at a very young age, and he would've been starve to death unless he hadn't been found by a lioness right at the borders of the Pride lands. She took the cub back to the pride, and Ahadi, the king of the Pride lands allowe her to take him in and raise him as her son, for she had just recently lost her own cubs to hyenas. She named him Hondo, because he had survived all though he had been in a quite bad shape when she found him. Hondo befriended the king's older son, Mufasa, and a lioness cub named Sarabi, and the three of them were inseparable, however, as they got older, Hondo and Sarabi began to have le landsm strong feeligs towards each other. Eventually they fell in love, but little did they know what faith had in store for them.

Ahadi and his mate, queen Uru had deciced that Sarabi should be one Mufasa would take as his queen once he would take his place as king, but all three of them were not pleased about this at all, Mufasa wasn't in love with Sarabi, and Sarabi was in love with Hondo, and wanted him, not Mufasa.

Then, she discovered she was carrying Hondo's cub, and whe she told Mufasa about it, he demanded her to get rid of the cub, but she refused. Hondo, who heard everything, confronte Mufasa, and said he couldn't possibly demand something like that. The two males argued, and finally Mufasa agreeded to let Hondo stay in the lands until the cub was born, then he would take it with him and leave the lands for good, otherwise he would kill the cub. Hondo and Sarabi were outraged, but they had no choise but to agree.

Finally Sarabi gave birth to a beautiful healthy male cub, and Sarabi begged Mufasa one more time to let Hoo stay, but he didn't, explaining there couldn't be a thir wheel in their marriage. So, Hondo took their newborn son, said a sad farewell to his beloved Sarabi, then he left an set out to the outskirts of the Pride lands, where he found a small den and started living there with his son, whom he named Jamal. He never stopped thinkig of Sarabi, and two weeks later one night he sneaked back to Pride Rock to see her. But that's when Mufasa caught them, and attacked Hondo. He won three scars on his right shoulder, and after the fight Mufasa forbid him from coming anywhere near his kingdom again. Hondo returned to his cave, where little Jamal was sleeping, and he made a silent promise that he would always be there for him, and protect him from all the bad things in lifre.

 Relation to TLK : Former mate of  Sarabi, was raise by a pridelander.
